It's good to see Taj Gibson getting some love. He's been underrated since he came in the league last year IMO. And he had some naslty dunks.

Ibaka will get there. He's only been playing basketball for something like 4 years. He's 21 and freakishly athletic. He's going to be a stud if he can keep developing.

No way Chicago can replicate their second half performance from last night, no one was beating them with how they looked from the late third quarter on. Not saying Chicago cannot win, just saying I can't say them playing as good of game as last night, hit everything, boarded everything, then got all the breaks as well. Can't see them topping that performance.

 

 

You know the funny thing about that....The Heat actually shot better than the Bulls. So it's not inconceivable to think Chicago can play just as good, if not better IMO.

Ibaka will get there and I like Serge a lot, I guess I should have watched how I worded that. I guess what I meant is if OKC had someone like Gibson right now they would be a lot more dangerous. He would start on at least ten teams throughout the league but has to play behind Boozer in Chicago.

They got out worked on the boards, man handled I guess you could say. But think of all the other breaks Chicago got last night, IMO it couldn't have went any better for Chicago last night. If Miami doesn't start blocking out and competing for rebounds then it can get ugly again but no way do I see the Bulls putting another 21 point beat down on them is all I am saying. Don't see them topping last nights performance.

Miami probably did a little bit of over-coaching and went with a small but fast lineup. It was a gamble that did not translate into enough fast break points to cancel out the offensive rebounds for Chicago.

Also, I think Chicago's defense surprised some people. That is one athletic front line.

They were hot from deep, but their points came a lot from overall effort and heart. Something they have had all season.

The rebounds and Chicago's protection of the rim have to scare Miami. I don't think Chicago can shoot like that from 3 all series though. LeBron and Wade have to hit some jumpshots. Udonis Haslem would be huge for Miami, he's the kind of guy that would love to fight around in there with Noah, Boozer and Gibson.

If Deng plays like he did last night, the Bulls are going to win going away IMO. He's about as good as they get on D. No clue how they left him off the 1st and 2nd All-D teams this year.

The Bulls defense is the one reason I felt like they had a reasonable chance to win this series. Their coach was an assistant to Doc Rivers and a big part of the Celtics run the past few years, so he knows a little about game planning. The Bulls are younger and more athletic and better inside than the Celtics, so they have a better chance to frustrate Miami and make them grind a little more on offense, IMO.
