Track The NL Central Champion Reds (Week 7)

Beyond me that Dusty catches heat from that game last night. I thought he made a couple key moves to help them win. He'll never be the reason for a win with some of you guys...but whatever.

I am now 4-2 on the season. Had an absolute blast at the game last night. Playoff atmosphere if you ask me. The rally towels were a nice touch. I love Joey Votto!

If Heisey can't bunt the runner over he doesn't need to be on this team and Dusty should be forcing him to get he bunt down in that situation. Come on Baker have some guts.

Dusty gave the explanation for not bunting. With Hernandez on second, Dusty said it would take a perfect bunt to get Hernandez to third and the pitcher in the game was a tough guy to bunt off of. He liked the odds of Heisey doing something not bunting better. And he was right as Heisey hit the ball to the right side. Good play by Pujols, good job by Hernandez getting in the rundown and good job by Heisey both hitting to the right side and then getting to second during the rundown. I think Dusty is one of the best managers I have seen at addressing these types of second guessing comments that come up every night in baseball. He always has a very good, logical explanation for why he made the move he did.

Today's lineup.

Before anyone complains about Gomes playing of Lewis let me throw this stat at you. Against McCelllan LH batters are only hitting .197 against him, while RH batters are hitting .301.

Meaningless stat imo...Doesn't say anything about the Reds left handed batters

Sure it does. Lewis is hitless against him. :D

Arredondo reinstated from DL, Leake optioned to Louisville.

Well that stinks. I guess I need to change my avatar.

I'm excited to see him pitch.

If the situation is right anyone think Cueto gets plunked?

Not a chance, IMO.

Stubbs' plate discipline has improved substantially.
