What is your complaint with Dusty tonight?

Were you not watching when they had Phillips at first with the winning run, 2 outs, and both 2-1 and 3-1 counts on Rolen and Phillips never was moving to try to get into scoring position? Starting the runner comes from the bench and Dusty wouldn't try to get him to second so Rolen could score him with a hit. If Albert Pujos can do it BP should be able to running backwards. Like I said, since when did the Reds become a station to station team with Phillips on the bases?? As for Heisey if he can't bunt then Dusty and the coaches haven't done a very good job getting a bench player ready for situations like that. If Bruce can get the bunt down then Heisey needs to as well to help this team.

In case you think I have changed my thinking about Dusty being a good manager in close game situations, it takes more than getting to the playoffs to change that. His old you know what seems to get a little tighter when the game is close in the late innings imo. Any manager can make daring moves early in the game but "Good" managers can make them when the game is on the line.

Yeah I was watching. Phillips doesn't exactly have the best stolen base percentage in the world, and Molina throws out nearly 60% of guys trying to steal. Rolen was swinging the bat well tonight. I see no problem with not taking a chance of taking the bat out of his hands in that situation.

The Reds played a horrible game tonight ... and they still got the win. That is what a championship team does. They keep battling no matter how bad they look. The Cards have to be hating losing that game after they outplayed the Reds all night. Big win for the Reds.

Come on Big Snack, you know that Pujols could have swiped that base in the same situation. For the love of Pete, he's 3 for 3 this year. He's on pace for 10 this year.

Give me a frigging' break. I don't care if it was Stubbs at first, you don't take the bat out of the hands of Rolen with Molina behind the plate. That's just common sense. No problem with anyone having a thorn in their underwear about Dusty's ability, but let's at least make logical argument when we are gonna rake him.

If Heisey can't bunt the runner over he doesn't need to be on this team and Dusty should be forcing him to get he bunt down in that situation. Come on Baker have some guts.

So Jay Bruce shouldn't be on the team either?

Heisey did his job by hitting it to the right side. Pujols just made a head up play right there. Not many guys would do that.

2-1 and 3-1 aren't exactly very good base stealing counts. Plus Yadier Molina is the best catcher in the game.

I don't remember who Pujols stole off of but he stole second off the pitcher. He got a great jump. It was obvious by BP's lead in that particular situation that he wasn't comfortable trying to steal against that pitcher.

I'll be looking to go 4-0 on the year.

I'm excited to see Cueto pitch in person.

Radar looks like poopy.

Plus the Cardinals were up a run when Pujols stole his base. You can risk me when you are winning.

Supposed to move out by 3:30 they are saying.

Nice comeback win for the Reds last night. I saw where that was the 9th game the Cardinals bullpen has blown already. I look for Cueto to get rocked today. I read where several Cardinals have great stats against him and I think he'll be a nervous wreck as he faces a team that wants to hurt him.
