April 29, 201115 yr Where did you come up with the Saturday before the season starts? I agree they wouldn't be able to start him if that was the case. If he came back though, I don't think it will be that late into it. I think after the first week of training camp where he see's that wow Mike Brown really is not going to trade him, that he will want to play. People get burnt out after bad seasons, however by the time football starts going again around training camp. That is when people start getting that itch again to want to play. I'm just telling you that's where he has the most leverage. If Brown plays hardball with Palmer after drafting a QB why would Palmer not play hardball back to collect a check or get cut?

Mike Mayock and Rick Gosselin had Austin ranked as a 1st rounder. But your post makes me wonder why the Bengals didn't draft him. :lol:
