April 5, 201115 yr Had to go out tonight for work, was stunned to read the $3.75 gas price all over Florence, Ky. There is no doubt in my mind that we will be paying $4.00 per gallon prior to Easter and back into a recession by summer!
April 5, 201115 yr We left Henderson on Saturday morning to head to Destin. It was 3.65 when we left. It was 3.49 in most of Alabama. By the time we hit Florida line it was back to 3.65, and in Destin it was 3.75. Haven't look today to see what it is here.
April 5, 201115 yr The worst is yet to come this is just the onset.. not even into summer driving season. People are gonna start penny pinching now, we have too.
April 5, 201115 yr The worst is yet to come this is just the onset.. not even into summer driving season. People are gonna start penny pinching now, we have too. Unfortunately I've had to start doing that for a while now. Can't imagine what I'll have to do this summer :(
April 5, 201115 yr I saw it at $3.53 at a gas station on my way to work. If it's still like that at lunch, I'll probably fill up.
April 5, 201115 yr Thankfully I have never been late on a house payment in my entire life. I wonder what would happen if the whole country rebelled and refused to make a house payment to put more pressure on the banks and break this economy for real. I am so sick of every time the wind blows or someone in the middle east even acts like they are mad the speculators drive up the gas prices. I realize its a ridiculous idea but how else can we fight back????
April 5, 201115 yr Paid with cash to get gas at $3.69. Either they upped the price since this morning, or I misread the sign while driving by earlier.
April 5, 201115 yr $3.86 here in Ashland, a stone's throw from a refinery. Go figure. I know it probably shouldn't make a difference, but when I'm in Ashland that little fact makes me more mad at the high gas prices.
April 5, 201115 yr I know it probably shouldn't make a difference, but when I'm in Ashland that little fact makes me more mad at the high gas prices. The local folks tend to blame it on John Clark since he owns most of the stations around here, they say he is the driving force for the prices. I have no clue if that's correct, but I avoid his stations nonetheless.
