We certainly don't need this. The young lady is a remarkable player.

She is one heck of a player, my comment (about her father) was tongue in cheek. Lets not get so sensitive.

totally agree she is a tremendous player and i'm sure she left everything she had out there. Maybe the defence had something to do with her poor effort if you can call 18 pts and from what I understand several rebounds a poor performance.:thumb::thumb:

Not the people on here whos feelings you should care about its hers. This is a lesson I learned the hard way. THese kids do hear what is posted about them, and I'm sure Miss Moss has had to learn to ignore post about her, but she won't have to do it because of me ever again. Not saying I will always praise her, but I will choose my words more carefully.

IMO, Sydney is an incredible player. I was one of the ones that really thought that Boone had a chance to win it all. She is a fun player to watch. She can take over a game any time that she wants. I know that a lot of people were expecting her to do just that and when she didn't people want to know why but let's remember she is still a kid. Although she is talented at the end of the day she is still a kid.

Congrats to NCC. Good luck at Diddle.

For adults to be "dogging" on Moss shows a lack of class!! She's a Great player who really looks like she loves the game.

It cannot be comforting to look down to the other end and see him on the opponent's bench.

Look at how much he lost from last year.

Dude can flat coach.

Fookes a mere -mortal high school girls coach?

I was speaking in general terms about the ability of Coach Dawn. Obviously, Coach Fookes knows a thing or two about basketball as well.

You can't go wrong with either. I just think Dawn has a slight edge.

Moss had 18 with 2 girls guarding her, doesn't seem too bad to me. I thought she played hard. Sometimes when a player is so athletic it doesn't look like they're giving 100%, but she was in this game.

Thanks Shockey. As I said, some people apparently don't think about what they say. Syd gets her athletic abilty from her father (as well as a smidgen from her grandfather! :D), but her personality make-up and attitude is uniquely her own.
You're more than welcome. She is a pure joy to watch play. Some days everything and sometimes nothing goes your way. Such is life. Looking forward to some more memorable matchups between our 2 schools. Have a good off season:)

Miss Moss played hard and at one point in the 4th quarter while at the free throw line she asked to be subbed for but her coach made a gesture like suck it up , she was obviously tired but she stayed in . First time Ive seen her play ,Great player .

WOW! I didnt know the program was in trouble or needed to be turned around. I just thought they couldnt win before because they didnt have the talent. LOL

The program through the previous 10 years before Ron took over won 5 All"A" regionals, went to the All A finals once and semi-finals 3 other times. They also won 2 regional titles. Doesn't sound like a program that was really down. No question Ron has done a great job, but the program was really turned around about 14 years ago.

Some days you get the prize, some days it doesn't work out like that. I personally think some of the best lessons in sports come from losing. Anyone can be a good winner, but to learn to lose with class and grace, and then come back to fight again certainly is an important lesson to learn for life as well as sports. Friend of mine says one can't really be a great fan if he (she) can't handle losing. That goes for players as well.

And a good off season to you as well! But with AAU ball in just days that isn't very long!
