Where's the outrage???

Featured Replies

When gasoline prices spiker on GWB's watch the left couldn't attack him fast enough. Now that it is happening on Obama's watch where is the righteous indignation?

I won't hold my breath.

They're still trying to clean up his mess, didn't ya know.

It's Halliburton's fault.

See, this what happens when you elect an "oil man' to be..........Oh, sorry. Wrong President.

I assume from the posts in this thread that only rhetorical answers are acceptable? Or maybe the question posed as the start of the thread was rhetorical?

I thought it was a "Drill Here, Drill Now" crowd that was up in arms against Bush.

I don't remember ever saying that it was GW's fault. Some demagogues may have, but I am still a firm believer that it is speculators and that we ought to get oil, gas, energy all out of the futures market. People's speculation hurt the poor.

Oil exports have not diminished. There is no shortage of supply, but speculators are afraid there will be. Bad economics.

Ultimately, the blame for the price of oil goes to those of us who demand we can't live without it. We create a sellers market with our consumption demands.

A vast majority of people can't. Without gas we can't drive, without being able to drive I'd have no job, without a job I'd go hungry, if I go hungry I die. So, see I can't live without it.

But at what point have we made it almost impossible for any other form of energy to even compete?

So a bus/bike is out of the question for you?

I would say it's out of the question for most Americans.

I am glad all of our friends in the middle east are getting rich off of us. I say give more, they deserve it since we give them everything else anyway. Hey let them build an oil well where the WTC used to be.

So a bus is out of the question for you?

There are no forms of public transportation in most areas of America.
