January 30, 201115 yr Author Winter is far from over. There is another storm that is predicted for the end of the week that should take a more southerly track. Then another one the following week. This as bitterly cold air moves back into our area.
January 30, 201115 yr Henderson paper today had an interview from the weather service that said one model they ran showed significant ice and one model showed none. He said would most likely be in the middle. Suppose to start Monday evening for us. I hope it misses. Heading to Georgetown in the morning to see a customer. At least I hope it doesn't start until late Monday.
January 30, 201115 yr Yet another storm that we will see very little impact from. What is it about the Ohio Valley that drives storms north?, we always see the littlest of impact in winter and summer. Southern Indiana to Columbus always get the big snow storms. Lexington weather is even calling for thunderstorms.
January 31, 201115 yr Author Well I hope for those in Northern Kentucky sake they are wrong but I suggest that people prepare for it just in case. Just a little shift to the south and Northern Kentucky will be hit very hard. They maybe anyway. After the front comes through, the rest of us might see some accumulating snows Wednesday. People can do what they want. They do anyway. Hopefully these posts will help someone from getting into serious trouble.

January 31, 201115 yr I will gladly take some snow but not ice. Bailey thinks NKY will get a few hours of ice then it will switch over to rain.

January 31, 201115 yr Tomorrow's forecast high for the NKY area is 38°F with the forecast low overnight to night being 28°F. So hopefully the road crews are able to keep the roads in good condition. Hoping for the best here, I hate ice storms. Way to many things can go wrong.

It won't amount to much if those temps. are right and the road crews pre-treat the roads, no matter how much snow comes their way. Shouldn't be a problem unless things get a bit colder...
