How is the 14th ammendment not applicable?

 

I never said the 14th amendment wasn't applicable. I said I didn't think it gave citizenship to babies born to illegals.

By that same argument, is there any way they could have envisioned a time in which it would have been so difficult to immigrate legally?

Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

 

If a baby is born in this country, it is a citizen, regardless of the immigrant status of the parent.

 

The problem is not the baby. It is the illegal parents. Build orphanages to house the citizen children, let the kids benefit from being Americans, send the parents back from which they came and shoot them if they try to get back.

unless the parents are legal citizens then the baby that is born here should not get anything, especially citizenship. These welfare robbers make more than I do probably. That is funny too, they cant speak English and if they do they wont, could care less about America or what our flag stands for, gets mad if a kid wears an American flag shirt on CINCO Demyea (misspelled)

 

I say take it away from these freaking illegal thieves. Kick them back to Mexico and let their drug selling, beheading country take care of them. No wonder people here and have bad feelings toward Mexicans.

It is frightening to me the amount of people that otherwise present some pretty sensible arguments, some I don't agree with, start advocating the murder of people trying to get to this country to attempt to live the American dream. It's pretty Un-American if you ask me especially considering that it hasn't been but a couple generations since millions of Italians, Irish, German, etc migrated here, many illegally. The derogatory term WOP does mean without papers. I guess they should have all been lined up and shot as well. I don't get it should they be here illegally, no. Should they be physically harmed, no. Should it be easier to legally immigrate, yes. Should George Bush's guest worker program be revisited? IMO yes it should.

What does their fluency in English have to do with anything? Last time I checked we have no official language.

Lawmakers are never going to press the issue from the fear of losing votes.
