Is Dan Wooley still at Scott? May he be ready for a head job?

 

Danny could definitely be an interesting option for Holmes. He comes with a Beechwood pedigree, and I have ALWAYS though Holmes could do to take some notes out of the Beechwood/Yeagle/Rash playbook. Holmes almost always seems to have a handful of solid athletes. The Bulldogs could very possibly see some improvement if they moved to more of a "play your 11 best players on both sides of the ball" approach.

Hard telling who the next coach will be; good luck to whoever it is.

I wonder why people get on here and post negative things about a Coach who they Don't know. Coach Brossart has had success as a HC before, but you would know I will tell you that he worked is butt off at CovCath and is a great person and a good Coach. I don't think somebody who has never Coached or played the game at that level should be putting him down.

 

Coach Brossart had success at Finneytown, a very similar demographic to Holmes. Depending on whether he wants to be a HC or not, he could be a good fit. His offensive system could be very potent with the type of athletes that Holmes produces year in and year out.

As long as Holmes sticks to the spread offense, they'll continue to have success. They need a coach that allows his players to make plays in space. Get the ball in the hands of your best athletes and let them go to work.

Yes he is. OC and Asst. Head Coach. Coach Campbell knows its just a matter of time before he loses him. But, IMO a good hire would be Jeff Barth of Walton Verona (if he's interested). Barth is a very good young coach. I thinks its a just matter of time before he's a household name.

I agree they have solid skill players returning, replacing jenson and some key o-lineman and the bulldogs can keep their success going.

They have a lot of talent in the program.

 

Peterson, Clemons, DJ and Rayshawn Coston, Charles Knox, Jamonte Wilson, Jon Scruggs, MikeKale Scruggs, Carlos Gipson, Romello Rice, and DeShauntey McClendon to name a few.

As a brossart guy myself, I am not sure Reinhart would be a good fit at Holmes....maybe in a few years.

 

I wonder if Zack Deaton from Dayton will replace Lickert at Holmes, like he did at Dayton. Maybe the Sherer from Bellevue could apply there.

He has taken a job with the new arena football team so that out as for Deaton I dont see that happening either.

The arena ball only last during the spring and is just a part time job. With his background in college ball working with the speed and such a diverse group of athletes i think he would do better there then he did at Bellevue. Plus they will give him a chance to do it his way.

Hopefully Ben Nevels gets his shot to be the coach.

No need to speculate. Ron Madrick will make the right decision. He knows the kids of Covington better than anyone.

how quick do you think that the process will take, I mean lifting should be in full swing and with as much talent as they have coming back I would think the guy who gets it would like to make up for any lost time. any names coming out of any of the other inner city type programs, Newport, Cincy, lex or louisville. i have not heard many names being thrown around.

I agree Coach Barth is up and coming, but I know he is focussed solely on trying to make Walton-Verona into a State Championship level program. Still a ways to go, but heading in the right direction.

Holmes definitely has the athletes, with the right coach, they could build off their recent success.
