Here in Bardstown I've seen a few periods of a few tiny flakes mixed in with the drizzle. It definitely feels, looks and smells like snow in the air, and almost feels like it will start at any minute.

January 20, 201115 yr It doesn't really matter if you get 3 inches of snow or 8 inches if the temps drop to 0 lows and teen highs for several days. None of it is going anywhere. Our school kids have missed around 15 days and it looks like they'll miss most of next week.
January 20, 201115 yr Radar looks like it's getting closer, any one seeing snow yet? It was starting about an hour ago in NKY. Not sure if it is a rogue precip cloud in front of the full stuff, but had to use my wipers from Florence.
January 20, 201115 yr Coming down at a good clipp here in Independence, roads are already covered, which is all I needed by about 11:30 for me too feel good about not going into work. Still haven't been to sleep yet, glad my gamble paid off lol.
January 20, 201115 yr After looking at some of the models online and just my educated guess I'd say we'll expect to see about 4.5 inches, that's my firm guestimation lol. I've just notice that alot of the strong bands seem to be tracking north along the Ohio river and staying there. Wouldn't be surprised if county 2-3 north of Kenton pick up 7-8 inches based off what I'm looking at. FYI I know nothing but it's sure fun to guess lol.
