I have a pair of Woolrich mittens that are 34 years old. Best mittens ever. They have a few holes in them now . They have saved me at more football games than the hail mary.

I was going to ask which one do you swing better, but thought better of it.

 

I have better control of the golf clubs.

I also have my 1st baseball glove. I believe it's about 45 years old. My Mom kept it for years when I had no idea. She gave it to me about 10 years ago. I couldn't believe it still existed. Thanks to all Moms for creating great memories. Good stuff.

Im 63 , I have a hairbrush that I recieved in a set as a birthday present on my 10th birthday . It is in the shape of a baseball bat , a bar of soap shaped like a baseball and a washcloth shaped like a glove came with it . I still use the brush on my hair everyday and clean it religiously . Best brush I have ever owned . Oh and my wife of 37 years , Best wife I have ever had !

I also have my Gus Bell model fielders mitt that I won in a Name Kluszewski 's Bat contest in '56 or '57 .

Sport cards from 70's and 80's. Cats pause Basketball yearbooks from the 80's. My wife tells me underwear as well as socks.

I've still got my marbles.

We used to draw a circle in the dirt on the playground at school and shoot marbles during recess period. Kids don't do that anymore but in the early 1960s there were marble matches all over the playground. I've still got my favorites and several reliable Talls.

 

Also still have my FFA jacket from 1971.

I have a "Lil Penny" doll that I have had since I was around 9 years old. That means it is almost 15 years old now, I still have it displayed on my dresser. It looks out of place where it is such a unique thing to have out, but after watching a clip of Bomani Jones doing his radio show and seeing he also had one in studio at his desk, I felt a little bit better about it. Still talks when you hit the button and everything, and for those of you who have no clue what I'm talking about, just youtube Lil Penny and I'm sure your head will be flooded with plenty of sweet nineteen nineties memories.

I have a friend who has a Barbie Doll that she got for Christmas in 1960. I think the first year they were produced was 1959. It's still in the box and is in good condition. I told her it was probably worth a lot of money but I don't think she has tried to sell it.

I've had an extra 30 lbs way too long.

 

As Henry will attest, I'm a pack rat (or in today's TV vernacular, a hoarder) so I have a lot of things that I've kept for a long time. When Henry finally get's tired of some of those things, she throws them out. Since I haul out the garbage cans, I get the last look and pick out the things of mine that she throws out as being old and worn out (I may be worried that I'm next). I just take them to the farm house and put them in the basement where she never goes. You just never know when you'll need some of that stuff again. :thumb:
