Well first you claim Brossart hired "friends", then you brought up a question asking how many former Beechwood people were also on the staff. Once it was clarified that there was only one, and he was not a friend of Brossart before he was hired, you bring Beechwood up yet again.

I previously stated that I overstated the number of unqualified coaches on staff that were Beechwood grads/friends. I was wrong in my assumption as to the number of friends from Beechwood that Mr. Brossart hired. There was only one and it was a mistake on Mr. Brossart's part. The Beechwood angle is insignificant based on Guru's update.

Well that coach did very well at Wyoming, and I heard at least one or two more stops as well. So from what I know he is qualified. But the topic is the current 2010-2011 staff.

 

I'd also prefer to keep everything in the forums and not PM's. :thumb:

KIR, we are off topic but in addition to having head varsity coaching experience in basketball Coach Bohmer coached football at Beechwood, Dixie, Lloyd, and Wyoming, OH in addition to CCH so he was a very qualified assistant coach.

 

So any news on the CCH DC? I hear some crickets chirping in this thread from the CCH fans...

I am hearing there are some restless natives again in Park Hills (could it be the PHM?) and as a result someone got the axe?

Guru, I honestly haven't heard a word, but if you are truly sincerely concerned about what is going on at CovCath, I am sure you can call Coach Wirth or Mr. Guidugli at CovCath and ask them! Just make sure you identify yourself properly and maybe they will be willing to tell you. :idunno:

If CovCath felt they needed to fire a coach to improve their football program, good for them.

 

As for all the talk and back and forth about the PHM, if there are a group of supporters that feel strongly about CovCath football and they used their influence to get actions taken that they believe will improve the football program, good for those supporters.

 

I get a chuckle when I read threads about how such and such school can improve it's football programs. In addition to the improving the youth leagues, one of the most commonly stated things that need to happen is that the community must get involved and support the program.

 

Then I read in other threads how terrible it is that certain people in the community interfere in the football program.

 

You can't have it both ways.

 

Either the community and supporters are to care and get involved or they aren't. You can't chide people into getting involved financially and with their time, but then tell them they have to blindly set by and accept things that they think are wrong with the program. I'm not talking about second guessing why a coach runs this or that play or doesn't play this Johnny more than that Joe. But if the strong supporters of a program see fundamental problems with a program, they should take action. The football program does not belong to a coach. The coach is just the steward of it while he is the coach. If you want the community to get involved, then you have to accept that it's the community's program in part and that the community will have some input on matters. It's the coaches job to force the community to understand what he is doing and why he's doing it. It's the community's job to limit its interference except to fundamental problems.

 

If I'm a CovCath supporter, I'd welcome the PHM label; not deny it or run from it. From my vantage point, it's a compliment that there are a group of people strongly interested and concerned about CovCath football. I'm not necessarily condoning or complimenting every action that the members of the PHM may have taken however which is a different issue.

And I'd like to add that there has not been one concrete piece of fact written on this topic yet. If a change is confirmed, I'm sure it was for the betterment of the program or the person who left.
