Good Monday everyone. Here is hoping things are going great in your world as we get closer and closer to the big day. Christmas is almost here and the question I hear a hundred times a day is... Are we going to have a white Christmas? My answer to that question is this... Winter Storm THREAT. I have seen enough to upgrade to threat level as a significant winter storm may be impacting our entire region.

 

We will get deeper into the Christmas storm in just a bit. Before all that... we have the threat for some wintry weather tonight and Tuesday. A weak clipper will be skirting the region during this time and will lead to period of light precipitation breaking out tonight into Tuesday. A period of light snow and a touch of freezing rain will be possible for some areas and this may lead to slick travel into early Tuesday.

Same here, I want the roads safe for travel so eveyone can be with their families.

I hope not. I cannot stand snow anytime,anywhere and even if it is Chistmas. Also, bad road conditions really cause trouble for friends and families visiting one another.

 

Our local weather this morning said depending on where you were at that anywhere from one to ten inches of snow is expected. Nice gap there wasn't it ? I guess that she just wanted to make sure that she was right.:lol:

It's 5 days away, what were you expecting? :lol: They have a hard enough time being accurate while the storms are going on, much less this far in advance.

I hope the roads aren't too bad tomorrow. I have something really fun to do tomorrow, and it would break my heart to miss out on it.

We're planning to drive to Iowa either Christmas Day or the 26th. Snow I can handle. Just no freezing rain.

This snow storm looks like it could be a big one IF it all stays within KY and doesn't go too far south.

You got that right :lol:. I can remember one year that the local "chief meteorologist" forcasted flurries. Of course we got dumped on and a caller got through on the call in portion of the non news the next day and ask if that guy wanted to come to his home an shovel 10" of snow from his driveway. I loved it, was a classic! :lol:

Am hoping for the PERFECT STORM to occur this weekend on in to next week. When was the last time we had snow for Christmas that amounted to anything?, it's usually warm enough to grill out. Can't stand those people that want no snow, move to Arizona pronto!

With all the running around we do, I sometimes wish we could be completely snowed in and not have to go anywhere.
