I could be losing my mind, but I seem to remember a time not all that long ago when forecasters didn't have to wait until it was snowing outside to be able to tell if it was going to snow or not.

:lol: They're waiting for the storm from the pacific to hit land to determine where and when it will mix with the low pressure system which will determine the track the storm will take.

I don't know where the storm is no longer going to happen comes from but from reading Chris Bailey's blog he is still calling for the storm to hit us. I just got a text from his twitter page and he said that the various afternoon model runs are all starting to come into agreement. They say we will get a good amount of snow this weekend. How much in what area is still up for debate.

 

Also each map of snowfall from the earlier model runs have showed 4-6 inches for the Richmond area.

Radio and some TV here in NKY are saying it looks like it's going to "miss" us giving us either flurries or very little snow fall. I say it's still to early to know, but then again I'm not a weatherman. :lol:

Yea but Bailey's blog is saying maybe an inch up in NKY. MAYBE This sucks, I wanted a foot of snow, followed by no work for a month and series of snows until it all melts because it's just 70 one day. This is all I wanted for Christmas.

 

I'd lover for NKY to be all UK blue by tomorrow nights map.

It's looks like we will get a few inches for sure it's just a matter of how much.

Yeah if it hits by tomorrow morning I'll be in plowing the snow and then again on Sunday morning if more piles up.

I think it is not supposed to start until sometime tomorrow evening or night. It is difficult to know the timing of these things though.
