AL should send his next son to T, have him play football, and then in a few years he could obvectively speak to this. The problem is that there is tuiton at T - you have to want it more than just for football. The entire experience has to move you to T. Non T/X folks may never understand, and that's OK. It is easier to throw stones at someone standing on the championship platform.

Male didn't want to move to Durret, but like I said the JCPS told them they would upgrade, no one mentioned that. One poster said he saw the offices and weight room, when you must have been mistaken. RockMom sponsers do not help kids at Trinity? Well, I've been told different and will gladly send you a PM. Did y'all miss when I told you the kids have to be accepted into Male. Dexter Heyman made it but his brother Earl didn't.

 

How do kids get into Trinity if they can't afford it. I know several coaches in town, will not say who, this is my thread. I asked once "The numbers don't lie. Male won in 2000, played the finals 2002. The Rocks have 20? The last 10 years don't lie. Manual 1966. Butler 1970/1979.

 

RockMom, you mentioned being sick, did you read the post about my kid. There are kids on my sons 8th grade team who are thinking about Trinity and thats their right.

I will have to say, I really enjoy watching football games at Western Kentucky's stadium! I hate the drive from and to Louisville. BUT! The size is perfect for High School Football. The staff running the show is very accommodating. They use the play clock. They allowed the parent who wanted to, to come on to the field after the game to enjoy there special moment with there son's. Something Papa Johns refuses to do. What's the harm... never could figure that one out! Having DUCK, the WKU food commissary very close to the stadium, gave fans an option for a warm shelter from the cold and options for food before entering the stadium. Good job WKU and KHSAA... see you next year... GO ROCKS! #21!

 

You should be honored that they got to, because the night before that was not the case. After about 5 mins. an KHSAA official took it upon himself to take the State Championship trophy in his hands and said "I'll get them off off the field" and walked it himself to the locker room to get the players off the field.

Where did I lie? In my last post I asked about how kids get into Trinity when they have issues paying . I have sent two kids to college. No one mentions the fact I raised about if I made a donation to the Male football team.

 

Then we read where the Rock fans are counting on #21! Talking abaout about being sick?

And there you go. You've been told something and you believe it without question. What good is it to even discuss anything with you? You've made your mind up. You want to make accuasations, imply wrong doing, but you don't really care if it's true or not. You just want that perception out there. It serves your purpose quite well, whether it's the truth or not. Most people won't bother to find out the truth, they'll just take what you said as truth, same as you've done.

RockMom, I know some things, but won't say it. But I remember driving home after we lost to the Rocks in 06. And trying to console my kid. I love my sons. Bellyachin? Not really doing that just posting facts. And wanting a level playing field. You think its level? Any Rock fans thinks its level. :idunno: :popcorn:

 

Where did Tony Driver grow up? Who did he live with while going to Male? How old was he when he graduated? I know the answer to all three.

Golly... couldn't someone at T have paid for Driver's tuition? Why not pay for Maurice Marchman, Mario Urrutia, Andy Clark, Michael Bush, DeMarcus Smith, or any other star athlete from Oldham Co. to E'Town?... Geez. The uninformed will remain so, and the rest of us can only :idunno: T and X historically have not had any more D1 football players than many public schools. What T and X DO have is simply not understood by those who don't have it. And another note: I realize T and X have great facilities. They have LOTS of alumni that continue to give to their alma mater. Pick any public school and ask what percentage of their graduates came to their 25 year reunion, then ask T or X what %age returned. And while the T/X football game makes who knows how much money for those 2 schools, even the regular home games average probably 6000 fans. Many schools have fan bases that barely reach that number for the total of 5 home games. $$$ drives the bus. Either work on improving your bus or continue to drive on the interstate at 40mph and curse those that pass you (on their way to Cincy and TN)

If half of what folks accuse T and X of were true they would win EVERY title in EVERY sport EVERY year. Football just requires, IMHO, a greater level of dedication than many other sports, the price of which T and X kids are willing to pay - which gets a bigger fan base, more alumni support, more $$$... WAIT! This is a vicious cycle! It's not fair that T benefits from doing things the way they do them! Someone call Nancy Pelosi!

Is this an example of a person from one school brining up shady events about another, then that school brings up shady events in the other school's past, but neither member of the two schools deny any of the shady events? So gentlemen and ladies, are there sponsors at Trinity? How many blue chip athletes have taken spots from a Jefferson county public "academic" institution that could have been filled by students from Jefferson County? I am becoming more curious the longer I read?

I know nothing of "sponsors." We have financial aid that is need based. This is done according to the family's income level which is handled by an independent company out of state, which means it is not tampered with by local folks. The financial data is all that is looked at. Additionally there are work study programs that allow students to assist in bringing down their tuition by assisting the grounds crew and custodial staff. Even with these two methods, if a both apply, no student's tuition is paid for completely. The max is 50%.
