174 years? That's dedication, holmes.

Mr. Huhn is a great guy. He was my math teacher at Holmes and was keeping the stats when I played basketball back in the late 70's and early 80's. He definitely deserves to be recognized for his committment and dedication to Holmes.

All are awesome guys and should be applauded for their work and professionalism.

Wow - about the only word I can say.

Kaelin is a legend at CCH and a real good person. Congrats to all of them!!

Mr. Kaelin and please note that to this day at least to me, it is still "Mr. Kaelin"! He was teaching at CovCath for a couple of years already, when I entered CovCath as a Freshmen many, many years ago!

Congrats to all!!!

Wow awesome story. These are the guys who are there all of the time and rarely ever get noticed. Glad to see they are recognized for their service to the athletes of Northern Kentucky. Great story!!!

Congrats to all!!!

He's Herr Kaelin to me. I bombed his German class 3 years in a row.

...taught my old man economics as well.

That is amazing the amount of years those guys have put in to help their respective schools. I would love to do something like that as I am a stats hound. Nice work gentleman.

All four are class acts and dedicated to what ever they do. We are all blessed to have them touch our lives!

Refs will tell you that it's a huge relief to look over at the table and know you've got someone like these 4. One less thing to worry about.

Nice article and recognition for these gentlemen..

Haven't had the chance to speak with the other three, but Gary Huhn is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Every season he keeps paper clips of all the Holmes games. I'm sure you could ask him about a season 25 years ago and he could tell you about every game with detail.

When we did the Holmes/West Jessamine game a few weeks ago he was telling us (Ryan Ernst included) about a time when Holmes went down to a small EKY school for a tournament and there were 5 or 6 lane violations in a row that sent a game to OT that Holmes eventually lost. I believe his was when Flynn was the coach.

Ron Siry, is his wife a teacher as well? I remember a Mrs. Siry in elementary school that was a big UC fan.

Mr. Kaelin is about as old as time. Great scorekeeper, nonetheless.
