Was last night a moral victory for Ryle?

Featured Replies

No, it was another step but it was a young Trinity team on the road. Next two years that team will be even more scarier. Hats off to Ryle though they didn't give up.

06' team already took that "step". Actually made it farther. I am still miffed at the lack of respect for the 06' team at Ryle. IMO, they were a better team than this years team. Played with more emotion and heart. Vince Murray is/was a gamer. Would not trade him for anybody on this years team.

I agree.

I talked to Ryan Luster (WR) from that 06' team on Friday and he said that this year's team has more overall talent but that 06 team would beat this year's team for the simple fact that they wouldn't be able to stop Murray and Gray,

If that 06' team ran the same offense this years' team ran...WOW!

Im not sure you can take a moral victory when you have 100 total yards with 5 minutes to go in the game. That coupled with a couple of questionable calls that stopped Trinity drives...this game could have easily been 42-9.

Northern Kentucky gets all revved up when one of their big teams has a fighting chance against teams like Trinity and St. X. The fact is they don't beat them. Ryle has come the furthest and I admire their coach and his desire to play Highlands twice, when others are looking to drop the Birds or not play them at all. He has the right approach, but there is still a wide chasm. The difference is depth at this point.

The more I read your post on several threads, the more I think your knowlege and opinions concerning football are way off.

There wasn't a questionable call made. If anything, the officials missed many blatant holds on the edge and many late cut blocks. Remember, the hands have to stay inside the frame, you can't grab jersey, and a cut in high school footbal has to be made in one motion from the snap and within one yard from the ball and no further than four yards outside of the ball. That is the cut box. For some reason, Trinity likes to cut outside of the cut box. Of course, it is not a penalty if the officials don't call it. However, don't complain when they call penalties that your program has previously gotten away with.

Good, the feeling is mutual. Need we all agree? Perhaps you have this opinion because they don't agree with your set of beliefs?

If you think the BC peewee football league is getting the job done as a high school feeder, you are way off. Look at the most sucessful programs in the state. They all have a feeder system that plays every kid and teaches the high school's system. The peewee system in Boone County has turned a lot of players away from the game at a young age due to the win a superbowl and don't play and coach the twos mentality. Don't worry though, the problem is being fixed.

They also have one other common thread that you chose to ignore. They all accept tuition paying students. Please don't under estimate that fact. It's powerful.

Lets face it Ryle has come long and this was there year. There are never any moral victories ever.Thats just silly. Thats like saying if this years HHS team doesnt win state then its ok cause they were just a Mediocre team as some people have said. Come on they lose they lose!

And come on fatsnbul do you realy think we are stupid????? Saying that EVERY PERSON pays the same and there are rules against that in the words of #85 child please!!!

I didn't say everyone pays the same. I said it costs a lot of money...and it does. Trinity has lost many athletes due to financial reasons.

I'll bet that they never lost a 4.5 40 due to tuition

Lost a faster one from last year to this year. Get your facts straight.

In 1992, lost another to Ballard, he was the fastest in the entire school.

I'll bet that they never lost a 4.5 40 due to tuition

Wow fella. Even this public schooled person knows better than that. Please don't disrespect your school by saying things like that.

As for question in the thread title, NO!!! Not from where I'm from.
