St. X / Trinity Coin Toss - What might X do?

Anyone who has ever seen T play knows that if Beatty wins the toss he takes the ball. But what if X wins the toss? What do you think they will do?

They absolutely have to take the ball IMO. A big key in the game for X is going to be getting the lead and trying to control the game's flow and the clock. They have to take the ball and try to get the first points on the board.

Getting up on Trinity early and controlling the clock is the only way to beat them, IMO.

I say they take the ball and try to eat up 6 minutes right off the bat. If they go 3 and out it could be a real long night for them.

If I were Coach G. I would take the ball and quick kick on the first snap. That would really mess up the Rocks:taz:

Thay have to take the ball and get a sustained drive. PRP did it against Trinity and dictated the pace of the early game.

We have never been 75% pass. During the Brohm era we were much closer to that than we are now but we are probably closer to 60-40 pass/run.

Not even that high. We have more rushing attempts than passing this year and have around 2,300 yards passing and 2,200 rushing.

I know what X shouldn't do and that's kick deep - no matter when they kick. Those guys are fast. I know you don't want to give a shorter field but they can return it in a hurry.

X will take the ball to attempt to throw off T's mojo. If it leads to a long drive and score... brilliant. If 3 and out or a turnover.. dunce cap.
