And went on to win State as a #3 seed.

Was that the state game where they came from way behind to win?

It most certainly was , thank you very much !

HC "might" have sneaked up on them, but with the late season loss...The Bred's are wide awake and on a mission!

NCC by 2+ TD's.

They've put up 121 pts. in 2 games, I think that qualifies as starting to click.

NCC has scored 244 pts over their last 5 games. HC has scored 242. I'd say that's pretty close.

Common opponents:

Beechwood - NCC loses to them 40-39, HC loses to them 28-21.

Newport - NCC wins 54-13, HC wins 55-21.

Lloyd - NCC wins 56-7, HC wins 50-6.

In a post made in another thread, I mentioned that NCC beat HC 28-14 earlier this year (we all know that). However, statistically, first downs, turnovers, time of possession, and total yards were either identical or very close. Below is the game summary from that first game. I think Friday's rematch will come down to turnovers, HC's ability to keep the potent NCC rushing attack "somewhat" limited, and NCC's ability to keep HC's offense on the sidelines. It should be fun to watch.

Thank you very much, I will have to check this out later. I only have one game on my mind at the current moment...Danville/ Monroe County!!!!

Go Falcons...

Tough task for the Indians. They'll need a big game from Big Grin and JJasper.

I'll be pulling for them.

I think HC has the superior talent; now if they can put it together on the big stage.

I disagree completely with that.

OK? On what grounds?

Outside of the QBs arm and his wide receiver group NewCath has the advantage in every other grouping. Hitchew makes up a lot of that advantage at qb w/ his ability to run. I just don't see HC as being superioir in talent to NewCath this season

Everyone knows this is going to be a shootout, so the QB in a pass happy Indian offense, is pretty vital and is the prime athlete on the field; so that is a pretty big asset. HC's wide outs (as you mentioned) are better. I just think in this kind of game those groups of players are the best things a team can have because big plays are going to fuel this game. NCC has Kelly and the kid is a stud. I think he is the equalizer in this one. Hightchew will probably be less than effective if he's not running the ball. But, nonetheless, each team has the players to win the game..

IMO the only way NewCath goes down to defeat is if the pass defense is not strong. Too many times this season they allow passes to be caught that have no business being completed. Go Breds.

I disagree completely with that.

Last year I would agree HC had more talent than NCC but not this year. The Overall Defense played by NCC gives them the edge. I do however see Arlinghaus throwing far less INT's and having a much better game, like wise NCC won't put the ball on the ground as much. It will be hard fought but I really think the HC passing attack matched with one of the most undderated players in NKY in the HC running back Fuller is going to put it on NCC. Now if only the HC D can kepp the NCC rushing yards under 400.:sssh: I like HC in this on 35-28.
