Was it right to bring Meryl back the way they did, I just don't know about the writing but really like the Soap Opera?

 

Maybe this is a preview of Meryl coming back into later episodes (not as a dream). Setting up some eventual confrontation (perhaps at the seasons end) with Rick leaving him handcuffed to railing.

 

Ricks Wife and Blondie can be quiet for a couple of episodes. I like the bat-wielding, horse-riding chica

Blondie is an idiot, for sure, loose cannon, Rick's wife is also nothing but trouble, I was he would leave her on the side of the road. I am thinking that Daryl my main man is about to start being a real loose cannon, and he might be aiding in the cure of some of the silly things that plague the group.

 

Rick's wife went from being upset that her son got shot, to upset that the "best option" was to let a vet operate on him, to doing her best to convince Rick to stay around his son, to wanting her son to die so he doesn't have to live in this world, to being so worried about him again when he passed out, to wanting him to live again, to being happy he's alive. She also decided it was time to move on from her husband and sleep with his best friend in what...a week? 2? A month? :lol:

 

It killed me when she complained about the guy being a veterinarian. Really? Your son is shot in a world where almost everyone is dead, but you happen to stumble upon someone who at least knows something and might possibly be able to save your sons life and you are upset? Okay miss...you go on down the road and find another doctor.

I agree with others that Rick's wife is awful. No question my least favorite character on the show.

 

Second season has been outstanding.

I don't think Daryl was bitten by a walker, at least I hope not. In fact, I hope he turns into even more of a rebel. He was just about ready to turn into Rambo until the idiot woman shot him. Hershel definitely has some secrets to hide, that's why he's so anxious for everyone to move on. Find the little girl already...after a while, it's not believable anymore (unless she was discovered by other survivors who have taken her in).

 

As for Merle, I have a feeling he'll be back for real soon.

I have to agree about Rick's wife, especially with HB20's last post. I've been trying to figure the timeline. How long was Rick in a coma? How long from the time Shane left him in the hospital until Rick found the group? A month is stretching it, IMO. Also, how long has it been since Rick was re-united with his wife? Regardless, she is my least favorite character.

 

I don't mind the show having some slow moments, but I think this standstill has gone long enough.

Agree. I understand AMC and this show is about character development, but they need to find this little girl or make a decision about what to do about her soon. I simply just don't care.

Lots came out but they have to wrap up the missing girl storyline. At this point, I'd rather they find her on a Walker buffet than nothing.

 

I am agitated that the season finale is next week, smh.

Yes - Midseason finale. I would have been really upset if they would have shortened this season.

 

Great episode last night. Lot's of information and tying some storylines together. I am still wishing that Rick's wife would get eaten by Walkers already. Or run off. Her character is horrible. Didn't see the Blond Chick and Shane hooking up - then him threatening the old guy. Very interesting plot turns.

 

Can't wait until next week's episode (Did anyone else catch the possible romantic link between Daryl and the missing girls mom)?

They seem to be getting away from episodes with walkers, and more towards soapy story lines. I'm guessing we will se more walker encounters next week.

OK. I have tried to watch. I haven't read the thread. I'm not getting it and it really isn't drawing me in at all. It actually looks pretty stupid to me. Is this like Lost where it is pointless to try and jump in at this stage of the game? What is the attraction to this show?

It hasn't been as good since they got stuck looking for the little girl, Sophia. It has moved very slow with little action. I assumed the second half of the season will be more adventurous. I do think watching the first season would make it easier to bear with the current standstill.
