November 28, 201114 yr Hershel looks like he's about to go off the deep end. It's going to be tough to wait 2+ months... I know! I was waiting for Hershel to have a heart attack or stroke when they were shooting the walkers.
November 28, 201114 yr I think we're coming down to a classic Shane vs. Rick battle or series of battles. I have to think that Dale dies before the end of the season. Hershel looks like he's about to go off the deep end. It's going to be tough to wait 2+ months... Looks like he goes missing and hits the sauce in Feb?? Great show last night. I think they have done a fine job this season. Maybe too many love stories, but still good. By the way, last season as they were leaving the CDC the guy wispered into Rick's ear. Still trying to figure out what he said? I thought it was about his wife being pregnant, but I guess not.

I thought it was that as well. I did hear Rick say he knows when his wife confessed. That was a good point earlier - did Hershel know that the little girl was in his barn the whole time? Shane may water board him after that.

November 28, 201114 yr I think Shane will die or split from the group. One way or the other, it seems like the camp ain't big enough for both he and Rick. Personally, I think Rick, Carl, Glenn and the blonde chick are in it for the long haul. Aside from those four, anybody could die without surprising me.

Glenn stays behind in the comics when the group leaves the farm, I'm curious to see how that plays out here. They haven't followed each other exclusively, but the show has stuck fairly well overall to the comic books.

He is becoming one of my favorite characters.

Still wondering how they will bring Merle back into this. I think the show has been great (despite the soap opera storylines). Looking for them to all leave to Ft. Benning when the shows starts back up. (minus Dale who disappears)
November 28, 201114 yr In the comic books Carl kills Shane when Shane is about to kill Rick. Awwww, I can't believe someone let that cat out of the bag! I've been dancing around telling people that!
November 28, 201114 yr This is a good read and has me even more excited for February: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/walking-dead-midseason-finale-robert-kirkman-265484
November 28, 201114 yr I see this show very similarly to Breaking Bad in one respect. The shows don't deal exclusively with one character, but they do center around one guy and his progression. It is Walter, for lack of a better phrase, breaking bad in Breaking Bad. And, in a similar sense, I think the Walking Dead centers around Rick "breaking bad". I think everything that happens hardens him emotionally and pushes him toward being the guy who will do whatever it takes to ensure the survival of he and his group. I think Rick being the one to walk up and shoot Sophia was significant in that respect. I think he accepts responsibility for her fate and he felt it necessary to be the one to kill her. For fans of Game of Thrones, I see it similar to Ned Stark's sentiment that you shouldn't sentence a man to die if you aren't willing to carry out the execution yourself. It is also noteworthy that while everyone else, including Shane, froze when Sophia walked out, Rick walked up and did what was necessary.
November 28, 201114 yr Here is a thought about Sophia. She was first chased by Walkers on the freeway, trapped under the car, right? Could she have been bit then, but nobody knew, then her demise came on slowly, like the guy they left by the tree? Maybe she hid in that farmhouse for awhile, before she became a full fledged Walker. (The sardine can?) Then eventually made her way to the farm as a Walker? And if that was the case...just saying....it would not have been on Rick that she got lost, because she was already a Walker? Just trying to figure out how she got to the barn.
November 28, 201114 yr Maybe she made it to the farm and decided to hide in the barn because she was scared - not a good choice.

November 28, 201114 yr Otis would go out and find walkers and bring them back to the barn. I think that's the easiest explanation as to how she got there. Right because he exited the show before the rest of the group came to the farm and started the hunt for Sophia.
