I swear, I tell people the exact same thing.

 

I actually love the cold. I don't think I'd like it to be around zero by any means, but I am much more comfortable in cold weather. About the only thing that bothers me is my hands, because I've yet to find a good pair of gloves I can work a camera with in the cold.

 

I just use basic brown work gloves, cut a small slit at the tip of the right index finger. No worries!

My feet! How many socks you can wear and I have hunters socks? In my fifties and I know why older retirees go south. One thing of my complaint is how the temps go up after friday nite. I worked outside with the railroad and still have some gear I got from them. Don't sit on bleachers, have a seat.

I remember a playoff game played at Campbell County High School many years ago. The Camels hosted Bryan Station and the game time temperature was 14 degrees.

 

The teams and fans weren't too adversely affected, but band members started passing out following their performance.

Sure, goldie! Really, good hunting boots with "thinsulate" (I think) in them are the way to go!

Slide a couple of hot hands in between your layers of socks around your toes. It works for me.

Uggs, no socks. Keeps the feet warm and toasty.:thumb:

With all these socks and hot packets don't the feet get sweaty?

I use the same line, too, except I always say "you can only take so much off before they arrest you." Gonna have to try the glove thing some time, because I'm also handling a camera at times.

Snow, sleet and rain last night in Maysville.

 

Downright balmy compared to the coldest game I ever sat through - Mason County at Highlands, 2003.

Weather was also a factor in Lexington at Henry Clay tonight. Snow was blowing most of the game with sleet also. Players lost their footing several times on the slippery turf. Good football weather.
