October 28, 201015 yr A 20-year-old student from Long Grove was killed Wednesday when a lift used for filming on the University of Notre Dame campus fell while he was recording the football team's practice, officials said. Declan Sullivan, a junior at Notre Dame, was on one of four hydraulic, portable lifts usually used to film Notre Dame practice when the accident occurred at 3:50 p.m. Chicago time, the university said in a statement. Well today will be fun at work. I guess I've lived long enough." The tower holding Sullivan stood about 50 feet above the ground and, according to experts, shouldn't have been used in winds exceeding 25 mph. This was a tragedy that shouldn't have happened, abolutely senseless but now all thoughts and prayers should go out to the family. My prayers go out to the family and friends of this young man.
