October 28, 201015 yr ND's AD said the wind came out of nowhere but the reports are the wind was there for more than 24 hours and this poor kid tweeted before practice that he was expecting 60 mph wind gusts and that he lived long enough. I have a feeling ND is going to try to act like this isn't their fault and that is not going to sit welll with the public IMO.

All reports last night and this morning were that it continued, but that was edited out everywhere as the day went on...
October 28, 201015 yr The AD was clearly lying when he made it a point to mention that when on the field they experienced a pretty extraordinary burst of wind. Things started flying by him that otherwise had been stationary for all of practice. Give me a break. The guy clearly needed to mention that to make people think that the winds came out of no where when the kid's tweets were completely contradictory and prove that the winds were going crazy before he even got up on the lift.

October 29, 201015 yr I believe that it was a "gust" of wind, but that still doesn't excuse it. The weather report will clear up any confusion about the strength of the wind throughout the day. It's a horrible incident, but the tweets make it even worse...
October 29, 201015 yr I was told that the kid filming was not part of the football team but, rather, he was part of a class or group that films. If true then that's out of BK's control.

October 29, 201015 yr What excuse did they make up? They're trying to pass it as a random gust of wind that blew the lift over that they never could have expected. It could have been a bigger gust of wind that blew it over but if the winds were at 50 or 60 miles per hour the entire day it shouldn't have mattered. The way he made it sound was that the day was going completely normal and a big wind came about when in reality it was extremely windy the entire day.
October 29, 201015 yr Sudden winds really? I don't know, I wasn't there. I thought he said it was a big gust. Swarbick is a very smart man, who is very familar with law. I'm sure he is aware of what he is doing, and didn't just make something up. Unless you were there how can you say he is making it up? Like I said, why don't we just wait till everything comes out.
