Not who Kentucky needs at all. In a time when many Kentucky employee's are being sent home without pay on forced vacation Farmer and his buddies are out golfing and touring beaches on tax payers dime.

This is typical election year politics. It said in the article that Farmer was a former President of the SASDA and that the annual meeting is held in the current Presidents “home turf”. So was anyone complaining when 14 other Agriculture leaders and their staff were in Kentucky spending money on golf and Kentucky Bourbon?

Pelosi spent close to 3 million on private jets and over 150 thousand on booze this year alone...

OH, I guess that makes it ok then. Heck with all the money KY made off of that Farmer should stayed for another week. In the mean time my wife can continue taking her furlough days in order to make up the short fall in the budget.

The figures obtained by the Judicial Watch seem accurate.. You can break down the expenses how you like.. Still several million tax payer dollars wasted regardless if it was for drinks or gourmet food... She should be flying commercial..

The business trip and related expenses don't bother me in the slightest. Attending "trade shows", for lack of a better term, should be considered the cost of doing business.

According to previous documents uncovered by Judicial Watch, the Speaker’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol. For example, purchases for one Pelosi-led congressional delegation traveling from Washington, DC, through Tel Aviv, Israel to Baghdad, Iraq May 15-20, 2008 included: Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewar’s scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine. And yes I disagree with any politician spending tax payer dollars for personal use..
