So you are OK with the actual figure, 2 million and change for two years?? According to previous documents uncovered by Judicial Watch, the Speaker’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol. For example, purchases for one Pelosi-led congressional delegation traveling from Washington, DC, through Tel Aviv, Israel to Baghdad, Iraq May 15-20, 2008 included: Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewar’s scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine. And yes I disagree with any politician spending tax payer dollars for personal use..

Did you not read the attached link? They said that JW was wrong. Re-read it.

^ Won't matter. People see what they want to see.

On both sides of the aisle, by the way.

That pretty much sums up this entire, pointless thread.

Clyde, you're making your argument with "factcheck.org"

Not the most qualified outlet.

Re-read your own link.... or maybe read it all.... It did not dispute the tab she ran up only that it wasn't all spent on drinks, but for food also..... And you really need to find some better sources than factcheck...

I've never seen any complaints about factcheck.org.

What's the beef with them?

What did I not read? It said that the $101k is made up of many types of expenses which do include food and alcohol but also includes "any non-reimbursable Air Force expenditure besides transportation costs. That category actually includes all non-plane costs of the trip, including baggage fees, meeting room rentals and refreshments, and, frequently, good-will lapel pins — as well as meals, ground transportation and lodging in U.S. territory."

So how did you extrapolate that she spent "over $150k on alcohol this year alone" from that?

For those that are bothered by factcheck.org I simply googled "pelosi alcohol fact" and came across this one which also said it was pure bunk.

Your point is what?

The two I mentioned were the first two that came up.

Are you saying that factcheck leans a particular way?

Yes, factcheck, undoubtedly leans one way. You can tell by its logo.

The logo?

Is this one of these right-wing urban legends, like the nuclear weapons summit logo having some tie-in to the Muslim crescent?
