I would say that Russell's AD would have the answer to that question. The only reason I gave for the game having to be played on Saturday afternoon if the game were moved to CCH is becaue CCH has no lights at their stadium.

As of 8:15a.m. the AD said that he had not been contacted to change the game. As far as he knows the game will be played at Newport at 7:30 friday night. He said he would contact me if anything changes.

In the regular season, NCC Varsity used the field on Fridays when Newport was not at home or on Saturday. Since the field was not in good shape this year after a heavy rain during the Bellevue/NCC game the playoff games for NCC have been played at Holmes High to avoid having two games a week being played on the surface.

 

With the heavy rain today and tonight and not ideal drying conditions the rest of the week with a chance of more showers on Friday it could be quite muddy.

 

As noted Beechwood's turf field would be available and many grass fields such as Bellevue, Campbell County, Scott, Lloyd etc. could all be available I guess.

Keep it at the MUDDY field, we like the down to earth smell since we are Devils it is kinda Heavenly to us. I am hoping that we turn in mass this Friday. If the stadium only holds 2900. I would say that we would bring about 700 to the game if not more. I can remember Fleming Co last year on the final reg. season game. IT WAS PACKED. We had as many there as we did there.

I thought Air Horns were not permitted by KHSAA rules. I know at Fleming County, some Morgan County fans were not allowed to have them this year.

OOPS, I didn't know that. I know people have them at the Russell games.

If they are only used after a score or something, there generally will not be much said. If they are used in the middle of the game as a distraction they will more than likely be told to get rid of them.
