True played some Friday night, according to the HHS broadcast guys. The HHS broadcast guys also indicated they saw no indication of him being injured in the game... they said the coaching staff wanted to get Seidl more involved. Apparently, it worked! Go 'Birds!

You've been predicting easy wins against these three teams all season. Let's just say as each week goes by and hearing all the complaints by Boone fans, I'm feeling more confident that these won't be EASY wins. Boone may win but I doubt they will be easy and I'm predicting at least 1 one loss if not 2 out of these games.

You actually think that Cooper Conner or Campbell can beat Boone this year? Boone just played the best team in the state in my opinion and played the 7th best team in Ohio. No team in Nky would have beat Anderson and Highlands and the only team that can come close is Ryle. Boone has still beat Henry Clay and Scott County two really good football teams. Boone will finish the season 7-3.

Did True play last night? Why did Seidl get the carries he did? I wasn't there and don't know. That's why I am asking. I would have expected True to get carries and TD's instead of sophomore Seidl.

 

Why would you expect something like that ? Jake True is a great runner, and obviously so is Colin Seidl, regardless of their grade. Put your best out there, every night and win games, the HHS way. Again, nothing against Jake True, but give Colin some credit for making his own holes and misses. HHS can go deep into the running back area, as well as almost every other area. Go out and vote for Colin for Blitz 5 Player of the Week, he's leading now and could win it....what a great statement for a program !

Depth chart. True is a year older and higher on the depth chart. But I can see seizing the opportunity to get a younger player some reps as Qryche and jbwill mentioned above.

True only went in for two plays. He was on the side lines for the entire game, supposedly being saved for this weeks game against Louisville Eastern.

The game tonight from the Rebels was flat out disgusting! The kids have the will and the want to, but the game plan is for the 80's. Any half decent coaching staff will know what Boone does and can probably stop it with ease. The defense is getting over worked because the offense is simply at a stand still. What I really don't understand is how the offensive coordinator continues to ignore a 6'4 270 pound tight end. If you can't find ways to get the ball in his hands, then seek help to do so because it's a waist of productive talent. The offensive line can't block more than what's coming at them so you can't blame the Oline for lack of scoring. I honestly think Boone has more punts than pass attempts, and if that's acceptable then that program is in some serious trouble. Boone is not on a HH level (player and coaches combined), but they can make a better showing than what was displayed tonight. Highlands pretty much did what they wanted to on both sides of the ball tonight and completely controlled all 4 quarters, even with the subs. As good as HH looked, I still don't think they're at last years level at this time, but they are still very good and will be for years to come.

 

I agree with your statement except for the athlete part, Boone has players that equal to HH standards and work just has hard as they do to prepare for the season, and play just as hard. These players are team players and do what the coaches ask of them. The system is what is what it is.
