Just sayin', I have grown a little tired of hearing about SK's prowess. Are they the legit 6A NKY team, or is it Ryle like Guru states? What states you?

 

Is it SK, or someone else in District 6?

I think District 6 looks wide open. I believe Ryle is the best team, but Boone County, Simon Kenton, and Conner all appear solid. Campbell County seems improved. And Cooper isn't quite at the level yet, but they're getting better every year. I think about three teams could win the district. I also think any of them could ultimately win their region (against GRC, Henry Clay, Tates Creek this year). But third, I think whoever comes out will get handled by X or T in the state semifinals.

I am a believer in Ryle

I have not seen SK play this yr. Nor did I see them play last yr, except for maybe the Thurs nite game last yr on Foxsports or another network. They were a very good Football team last yr and I am sure they are a very nice team this yr. But, this Ryle team is very, very good this yr and not sure if the Neers can handle Ryle the way some boast on here. Im thinking Ryle wins out in 6A in NKY unless they pooch kick on 3rd down or something. Crazy stuff, crazy stuff right there when you are trying to elevate your program.

SK's year was last year. This team just doesn't have the hogs up front to get it done, Mr. Simpson was a big piece of the puzzle, but a RB can be replaced, unfortunately it's alot harder to replace an entire offensive line, and at this stage in the game it just doesn't look like it's going to happen. I'd love to see someone step in and anchor this line but right now it's just not there up front and that's whats really hurting SK this year.

Ryle is the best team in the NKY 6 A district and is the only team in the district that has a chance at challenging one of the Louisville schools.

 

Ryle won't be able to compete with X or T, I'm not a hater by any means I'm just a realist. I've been following Trinity and X as well as Male since SK's first matchup with T.

 

Ryle is too one dimensional, yes they have a good QB with Hempel but shut that down and all they can do is run and rely on some trick plays; if you do either, T will punish you.

 

MHO, put Lawrence(SK) on Ryle's team this year and they might have a good chance at beating T or X because he's a GREAT scrambler and a GOOD decision maker. Even then it's still just a chance, and not something a public school has done in quite some time.

 

Again I'm not trying to bring Ryle down to better SK, this is just my honest opinion, and one that I think will hold weight when these teams match up. Trust me when I say when Ryle plays one of the two GIANTS from L'Ville I'll be cheering and hoping for the Raiders alllllll the way. I just think last year was NKY shot, and for numerous reasons it just didn't happen.

Don't count out this GRC team. They are on a mission this year. They have already suprised alot of people this year, me included. They are ranked #6 in this week’s Associated Press Class 6A rankings.

The best shot N.Ky has is when they are in the opposite bracket away from X + T. Ryle is the team improving, but when they went to the finals with a guy that is a starting running back for Navy right now in Murray-it was a blood bath. Ryle has good coaching. SK is trying, but they are still behind the Louisville powers.

I'm going to say Ryle.

This question won't be answered until 10/8, when SK goes to Ryle. Those are the two top teams in NKY 6a with Boone a close third.

Besides, an NKY all star team would have a close game with some of the better X/T teams in the past.
