Bengals/Ravens Predictions

I think the Bengals will play much better this week at home. I saw they win 24-17.

If their special teams keeps the Ravens out of the end zone, and the offense plays the way they did in the second half of the Patriots game then IMO the Bengals have a very real shot of winning on Sunday.

Hopefully Rivers isn't out and the pass rush can get to Flacco. Those two things are crucial.

I just wish the Bengals had a MLB that was halfway decent. Jones looked very very old and slow against the Patriots.

I really hope the they come out and go no huddle from the start. They scored all of their points last week out of the no huddle. Need to go full throttle down and wear down Baltimore's D, and keep them from making substitutions. Palmer is 8-3 vs. the Ravens.

Ravens currently favored by 2. O/U 40.

Anyone know the line on this one yet?

USA Today had it even.

27-20 Bengals and this was actually a thought out prediction this time so we'll see what happens. If the Bengals give up a pick 6 and return for a TD again then all bets are off, I REALLY don't see either of those happening this week.

If the Bengals defense comes to play I like their chances. The Bengals should be able to pass some on Baltimore with their injuries in the secondary, so I think it all hinges on if Boldin, Rice, and Co. are allowed to just go up and down the field at will.

I think the Bengals will look much better this week, which should mean a close game that could go either way. I'll take the Bengals, at home, in a game they really need to win (never want to start 0-2).

16-13

Bengals by 4-7 pts.

I think the Bengals win a close one. The Ravens have an outstanding team but Brian Shottenheimer called a pathetic game the other night! The Ravens have given up a handfull of 100 yard rushers the the last 7 or so years. Two of them were to Ced Benson. On top of that the Bengals have pretty much owned the Ravens as of late including sweeping them last year. If you watched the two teams last week you would say Balt in a blowout. The Jets put the ball on the ground and ran at Balt. If anybody has followed the Ravens they know they are depleted in the secondary. NY didn't attempt to attack their secondary. Cincy has CJ, TO, Shipley, Gresham and Benson with Palmer throwing. That is a big problem for Balt I think. Last week says Ravens big. History and matchups say Cincy will suprise people this weekend IMO.

TJ burns his old teammates on a late touchdown. Ravens by 3.

The line opened at 1.5 and now the Ravens are 3 so we know what the masses think...

The Bengals go back to their usual ways of another losing season as the Ravens and Steelers both stand at 2-0 by weeks end.

I've seen some of the "sharps" love the Bengals this week b/c of the value. They still think the Bengals should be favored. I think the Bengals catch the Ravens coming off a short week after an emotional win and beat the Ravens by about a FG. Baltimore's secondary should be more tested by Palmer than Sanchez.

Well I certainly feel better about the Bengals chances now.

A 1-1 start for the Bengals, Steelers and Ravens sounds good to me.
