Gold had a great, great career as HHSbirds2010 once again pointed out. Not many kids get to have his career - 3 rings as a starter? Crazy.

 

My guess is he's a NAIA player or a walk-on at a 1-AA school. Both are very nice options.

Peterson hands down. I played against him when i was a senior and he was a freshman and thought then man this kid can play and has become even better the kid is a player.

Congrats to Daniel Gold, WR, Highlands MVP! Maybe some DI universities will now wake up and give him the credit he is due, but I doubt it. Not one has recruited him. And I will add news reporter polls and coaches polls. A lot of players were instrumental in Highlands success this past year. Gold was one of them that made key play after play, after play. Watch some highlight tapes and watch what he did against DBs including those that were given offers by Kentucky. Watch the catch he made in the state championship game against #8. Maybe some college coach will have a membership to this site and find this diamond in the rough! Congrats to Gold and continued success in playing college ball! You are a winner.

 

Danny is the MVP of anything he touches. I had the honor and privileage to coach this young man for 5 yrs of baseball and a couuple of Jr football yrs. THE KID JUST GETS IT!!! Now add his athletic ability and hard work and you have a recipe of a team MVP.

Goose Cohorn For Dixie has to be one of the top recievers returning this year. He put up good numbers last year and has great hands. Very smart football player and student. Look forward to seeing him play this year.

I like Austin Trapp, #76 for the Birds. I've heard some discussions between players that he has been working hard and is practicing for a tackle eligible play for this coming season. Some may argue that doesn't meet the criteria for a WR, but I'll go out on a limb on this one.

Correct. A player has to be eligible by "position" and "number". Now, if they change is number to an eligible number and place him on the end of the line, uncovered, it's a different story.

I can count on 1 hand the number of "trick plays" that Dale and Highlands have ever run. Rarely ever need them and basically not their style.
