Just goes to show how overmatched Marvin is when the other coach has extra time to prepare for the Bengals.

The Bengals on Defense has no one to bring it like Ray Lewis of Ravens does. Did you see that gave last night. He was sticking people all over the field. That makes everybody play like that. Bengals has nobody like that and that is why they come out flat and get stomped.

I don't put them clearly over any team in the AFC North. Hell, at times the Browns looked scrappy---granted it was against the Bucs---so I wouldn't pencil Cincy above anyone in that division after week one.

Bengals lose to a very good team and coach and everyone thinks the Bengals are horrible? I don't get it. We are clearly the best team in our division and they proved that last year. Baltimore beat a Jets team last night that is mediocre at best offensively, they looked horrible on offense and only converted 1 3rd down all night. The Bengals have had lots of success against Baltimore and Palmer has played some of his best football against this team. Pittsburgh is moving backwards, and barely beat a very middle of the pack Atlanta team in OT at home. The Bengals sweep the Steelers again this season. As far as Cleveland goes, well they are Cleveland and are horrible. Kansas City will take them down this week in Cleveland.

I am not saying they are horrible, but I have yet to see what distinguishes them "clearly" ahead of the rest of the division. If you are going off last season, then the Bengals looked terrible to end the season and the Ravens were playing later on than them. I still have them going far, but I am not going to dismiss what happened last week. That was simply a manhandling.

Again if the Bengals don't win a game in the playoffs, I would oust Marvin and deal Carson to somebody out west.......

They did look horrible at the end last year, but it was because they were a shell of the team that began the season last year. This team was decimated by injuries and had virtually nothing left to compete with in the end and the playoffs. We had basically one receiver to finish the year last season.

 

I do agree that they got manhandled last week, and that's why I expect to see a different team when they kickoff on Sunday against the Ravens. This week should tell alot about this year's team. The barometer is set.

I put the Ravens ahead of the Bengals. With the additions of 81 and 84, they are improved offensively over last season. They still look pretty good on D. We'll find out Sunday.

Are you seriously going to include the last regular season game? Bengals had already clinched, and gave this game away. Everyone knows that. Like I said previously, the Bengals were crippled by injuries and were a shell of the team that began the season vs. the one that limped into the playoffs. Let's not hit the panic buttons after week 1.
