From the update thread, X led 28-0 at one point. Ballard came back and scored inside the final half minute to make it 35-34. Went for two and didn't make it.

Man, Ballard did not give up! Radio guys said there was some possibe def pass inf on the last 2 pt try... anybody see it live to comment? I did not give Ballard enough respect, but they have some players for sure. St. X is happy to win that one and may see the Bruins again this year!

The guys on the radio kept saying "You got to kick the extra point," and I was sitting there thinking "I know Coach Jackson, and that is not what he would do at all." I was right, that's tough for the Bruins though! Looks like the game at T this year will be epic!

For those that saw Parker, how does he compare to James Quick? Considering the last few minutes of the game I heard he sounds better!

It kind of sounded like on the radio that X could not handle Parker down the stretch. No doubt B has some palyers....and some good coaching. Best public school team in Jeff. County? Heck, maybe best overall team when all is said and done? Who knows?

I think it's a bonehead move to go for two. You have all the momentum and X hasn't been able to score or keep you out of the end zone. Tie it up, get a stop, score again and get the win. Desperate call...

I would have went for 2 as well. You are telling your kids we are winners and that is what winners do. It will pay off in the long run. Sounds like a great game.

If anything it tells your kids that we can't win in overtime, so we better try now and hope we get lucky. Completely wrong message to be sending to your players...

Because you are playing to win and not playing to lose. You are in control of the outcome not the other team. This will pay off down the road and they will win.

 

The message you send to your team is we are better than them and I believe in you kids to get the job down in one play.

It was a great game the Tigers should have put it away but did not close the deal. The X offense could not get in sync because they kept switching QB's and one clearly out played the other tonight. The Bruins have a ton of talent and will make a run this year. Hall was the difference in the game and X needs to get him some touches on offense as well as Devonte. A great way to start the season.
