Who is in your top 10 for next season?

Highlands??? Don't know if any team in Northern Kentucky is going to be worthy of top 10 consideration for next season and Highlands graduated a whole bunch of seniors???

I agree here. As much as I like Jack Stewart, I do not see him carrying this team into the state's top ten. I would not even have them at the top in NKY. I do like Eastern at the top. This team can flat out play ball.

I agree with you. No NKY team is worthy of a top ten ranking and probably not even top 20.

I am a big fan of Northern Kentucky basketball and most years think it is underrated. However, next year in the 9th is going to be grind all season long with 8-10 very even but very average basketball teams fighting it out for a chance to go to Rupp. I would agree that there probably isn't even a top 20 team in Northern Kentucky for next season.

I enjoyed a good dose of NKY basketball this summer with 7 or 8 seniors-to-be that I have no doubt could make lots of noise statewide... problem is, they play high school ball for five different NKY schools. Even so, they should get lots of attention as individuals, I just don't know what kind of teams they will have around them.

Not sure if it warrants a top 10 spot, but most of the time the team that wins the Derek Smith shootout ends up with a very good season which Louisville Central did if I am not mistaken. I am not saying they belong, but there are a few teams mentioned that I don't think would have come real close to winning the DS Shootout. Can't wait for the season to get started.

Have to agree with this as well. In fact, I'll take it a step further and say I can't see any NKY team cracking a top 20 this season.

There are some nice players in the area this year, but as far as teams go, it's going to be a far cry from what NKY fans have become accustomed to in the last 10 or more years. Whoever wins the ninth region this year will be the worst regional champ since Boone County won it in 1996. Ironically, 96 was a strong year in the ninth, but Holmes, CovCath, Highlands, Scott, etc. all got beat and Boone was left standing.

As for Highlands, they are not even top 5 in NKY, much less top 10 in the state this preseason.

The 9th will be extremely down this year compared to years' past. I could see Conner possible cracking the top 25, but no team in nky is top 10.

SK might be #8 in the 8th region.

They would be one to keep a eye on. Also I look for Lafayette to rise in the rankings this year, another one to keep a eye on.

Scott County will be right back in the hunt. Dakari Johnson is rumored to go to Scott Co. as well as Jay Johnson from Woodford. If the rumors are true, Scott Co is a top five team.
Are you kiding me!!!! Here we go again.....

Elliott County could crack the list with the whole team returning from a 20+ win season last year! Depending on the schedule with Timmy and crew Elliott could rack up 30 wins which would put them in the hunt for top 10 status.

They will be good in the 16th, but I don't know about top 10. The nucleus is talented, the supporting cast not so much.

EC may crack the top 20, but no way they're top 10. They wouldn't beat a team like Bowling Green who is probably a 10-15 type team. I'd take Conner or Boone out of the 9th over EC..
