July 15, 201016 yr If Basketball were more like soccer, then maybe more outside the USA would care about the NBA! Oops, I am assuming that there are more people in the USA that love the NBA than Soccer!
July 16, 201016 yr If basketball was like soccer, LeBron James would have held a special press conference to announce he was leaving Cleveland and the United States to play in Spain. Kobe would be playing in Madrid with Bosh, Gasol, Pierce and Paul... it's a lot easier to put together a winning team when you don't have a salary cap...
July 16, 201016 yr If basketball was like soccer, Allen Iverson's shorts would have been a lot shorter.
July 16, 201016 yr If basketball was like soccer I would have even less interest in it than I currently do.
July 16, 201016 yr If Basketball Was Like Soccer Someone would fall to the floor about once every couple of minutes, writhing in agony as if being shot by an elephant gun. After a moment or two, they would leap to their feet and sprint to the other end of the floor. Didn't Paul Pierce do that in The Finals a couple of years ago? Wait, I think he actually left in a wheelchair before coming back......
July 17, 201016 yr If basketball was like soccer? I wouldn't watch. Final scores would be something like 4-2. A lot of action but nothing on the board to show for it. :isurrender:
July 18, 201016 yr Not really true. This year the Finals had a great rating.Compare the ratings against the NFL playoffs, which had a down year, or even World Series for that matter. Though, better this year, the NBA hasn't seen great ratings since Jordan left the Bulls. Of course compared to the ratings of the World Cup in the US (1.9), the NBA Finals (10.6) is wildly successful.
