November 11, 201213 yr Playing spotlight in the evenings with the neighborhood kids in the summer time. :thumb: It's hard telling how many hours of my childhood were spent playing Spotlight.
November 11, 201213 yr There was a baseball card game a couple of friends & I used to play ALL THE TIME when we were kids. You basically would divide the cards up into their respective teams, create your own lineups & then play games. You would take a card and then roll a pair of dice. The number combination determined what the player did. Like a 1 & 1 was a home run. 2 & 2 was a double. 1 & 5 was a walk. 6 & 3 was a double play (if there was a runner on). May sound like the most boring game in the world, but to a couple of sports nerd kids, we had a blast with it. I'm pretty sure at my Mom & Dad's house, I still have the complete set of Fleer baseball cards from Ken Griffey Jr.'s rookie year.

November 11, 201213 yr Strat-O-Matic Baseball? We didn't have a name for it. No game board or anything. Just a set of dice, a pencil & paper to keep score, & the baseball cards. One of my best friend's Dad taught him the game.

Strat-O-Matic Baseball used it's own set of player cards and used charts and things to figure out play results.

I think that was the game another friend got after he saw how much fun we were having. He tried to get us to play his game, but we liked our little homemade version better. :lol:

I was a student the day they closed the doors at Western. Still feels odd driving by there.
