Trevor Lacey wants to be a Cat

I'm not claiming to have a profound eye for talent but Daniels looks far superior to Lacey. I like his frame, and his J work..

I don't disagree at all. I'm just thinking that Lacey seems to be a perfect guy to benefit from all the DDMO penetration & kickouts--the guy we all thought & hoped Dodson would be last year.

^ Yeah both would be a plus, but Daniels would add some size to a smallish UK team. (If he played this year)

Now, if he would actually play this year, then without a doubt I take him. At this point, I'd take any player on this year's team who could actually play, just for depth's sake.

Can't disagree with that.

COULD it change? Of course. Still highly unlikely...

I don't follow recruiting that's why I asked. Is he the type of talent that expects to be a one and done?

I think Cal will try to talk him into playing this season. as for the number of schollys, I think at least 1 or 2 current players leave for the draft.

And this is for anyone: Isn't there a possibility we lose a scholarship b/c of Daniel Orton?

There is a chance but only if another one of our players pull a "Daniel Orton" and don't finish their classes. As long as they continue to go to and complete their work for their classes, we should be fine and won't lose a scholarship...

I would say there is about 95% chance there is a lockout.

There will be a NBA some time or the other, we are fooling ourselves if we think Enes, Knight and Jones all come back. I hope I am wrong, but doubt it, plus there could possibly be someone transfer and/or lose scholarship for some reason.

^I could see Hood looking elsewhere.

Nah, He's not going anywhere IMO.

Why wouldn't he suit up this year? No reason not to, really.

I think the point is, if he isn't a four year player what's the difference? Seems like a logical questions.

They feel they need the time to develop. Same reason he moved out of the 2010 class, but now that he has NCAA clearance they want a jump start at the college instead of prep level. Never said it made sense, just what the kid and his dad want...
