It seems like to me that we are talking about at timeline in which President Obama was an Illinois state senator. You honestly think that they have the power to prevent deportation?

Decided not all would take the post as a joke and it would offend.

He had a (D) after his name. Held to a higher standard.:D

Why would he help his aunt? He will not help his half-brother who is destitute or his relatives in a village in Kenya who need a water filtration system.

He believes in the government doing what he should be doing. He will not use his own money, but is willing to take your money and hand it over.

yeah me too. Maybe I could get a lifetime subscription for free because I know I am right. I mean seriously how do you not know where your aunt lives if you are the Pres of the US. What really bothers me is when he (suposedly) found out she was here. Why not help her get legal citizenship and help her out financially. Not like he doesnt have any money. I am poor and help my extended family.

My uncle was married 7 times. I have no clue where any of those aunts are. Nor do I really have a care. If my uncle didn't live in the house where my grandmother did, I wouldn't know where he was. Why should Obama know?

Before it became national news, unless she had contacted him, he most likely did not know. But he has know of the situation for almost 2 years. Obama wants the government to do everything, he will not lift a finger to personally help anyone, even his own family.

dang, I would sure want to know where he was. After all it is a brother. But some are different.

WOW this is a non issue in my mind. Would've, could've, should've known...who cares? I AM NOT A SUPPORTER of the POTUS in any way, but don't really see how this is that big of an issue. I am sure that even though the President maybe didn't get vetted in the press like many in the past, you can't think the DNC (and or the Clinton's) hadn't ran his family tree everyway possible and she was known about way before the story broke. As far as not getting deported, this is more than likely based on many decisions based on people that were trying to curry favor with the White House. But really folks if you were president would you like to think your aunt would be cut a break?

I would think less of the President if he allowed her to be deported than if he did something to prevent it. And, I'm certainly no fan of illegal immigration or Barack Obama.

Want to know, certainly. Able to find out? That may be an entirely different matter. In the situation with my brother, last I heard, he was living in Albuquerque, NM, and was financially secure. Could he be living desolate in KY now? Certainly, but I do not have a way of knowing. My address hasn't changed, nor has my phone number, my place of work, etc. He has made no effort to contact me (or my other siblings), though he would be welcomed with open arms.

This.

I'd rather see Obama deported than his Aunt.

maybe one day he will decide how important family is. I do agree with a lot of what you say.
