As an acting Christain, do you believe Islam is the wrong religion based on their view of Jesus Christ as compared to Christians? Aand they can not be saved becasue of their view on Jesus as the SON OF GOD?

No I don't. I'm not of the belief that if you aren't a Christian you can't be saved. Who's to say our religion is the "right" one? I believe the way you live your life plays a much bigger role in a person's salvation than most do.

I must disagree. No mater how many good deeds you do, if you dont accept and confess that Jesus was Gods son and died for our sins then you go to a bad place. But I do not go around telling and expressing it to every person I see. To me a person practicing Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism can not be saved for reason already said. Sorry if I offend but it is how I believe. And yes I know Muslims belive in Jesus, but that he was only a prophet and not Gods son. Abraham is who brings all 3 religions together. Christianity, Islam(Ishamel), Judaism.

I understand your passion and feelings, but you do realize that this is a ridiculous comparison, right? That's like saying that we shouldn't put a Christian church next to a former abortion clinic where a doctor was shot by a "Christian."

Listen, I'm with you 110%. I believe Jesus is the only way to heaven, but I'm also interested in showing love and compassion to Muslims. And it seems that many of you are forgetting the central tenet of Christianity- forgiveness. You all are holding grudges against people that didn't even have anything to do with 9/11.

This country should rise above emotional responses, especially with respect to religious extremists. The Christian extremists in this country have harmed it just as deeply:

 

The Salem Witch Trials

Repression of Irish and Italian Catholic Immigrants by the Protestants

The bombings of abortion clinics in the name of the Christian faith.

The torture and killing of a gay teen.

Westboro Baptist Church.

The justification of slavery and segregation by Christians.

 

 

 

Repression and Oppression are just as deeply harmful, and frankly, much more long-lasting, and much more wide-spread in acceptance.

 

At least there are Christians out there that condemn such behavior. I seem to recall a whole heard of those idiot Muslims shouting and rejoicing after the 9/11 attacks. Those morons couldn't have been happier if Ed McMahon himself rose from the grave and showed up at their door with a Publisher's Clearinghouse check for 5 million dollars.

If anybody did not think their religion was right, then there's something wrong with them. That tells me they're not sold on their faith. These idiots who think that all religions are right and everyone's going to heaven are living on Fantasy Island. It must be nice up there.

Their intentions are irrelevant. Assuming they're US citizens, why would the not be allowed to build their mosque wherever they see fit?

 

Should you or I be allowed to build a church there? Should a Jewish person be allowed to build a Synagogue there?

Should you be allowed to build a casino wherever you want?

No regardless of what their intentions are, they're irrelevant. Should US citizens be allowed to build a buisness/church/mosque/etc. wherever they want, assuming they have the proper permits, etc?

When there's opposition to what they're building they don't always get their way.

How so? I couldn't care less if they build it or not since I don't live in New York and didn't lose anyone in that cowardly attack , but I do care what the people of New York think about it and I especially care about how the families of the victims feel.

Say about me what you like, but I think the families are wrong in being against it. If a crazy Jewish man killed someone in my family, it wouldn't cause me to oppose a Jewish family moving in next door to me 10 years later.
