April 18, 201016 yr 103 pitches thru 5 innings for Cueto. I would think he's done. Yeah, he was right around 80 going into the 5th, so he would have had a shot at the 6th, but not to be.
April 18, 201016 yr The Reds score on in the 1st, but had an opportunity to score a few more. Gomes with a sac fly with the bases loaded, and then Bruce grounds one weakly to first on a 3-2 pitch. Cueto with a 33 pitch 1st inning as the Bucs score two. Cueto seems to get worse every year. To me it seems like he doesn't have near the zip on his fastball that he did as a rookie. Good observation. C's stuff is not as electric as it was when he pitched as a rookie.
April 18, 201016 yr I was on the phone with the game on mute and thought there was NO WAY he would walk in the tying run, my goodness gracious. Bullpen does its job in the 6th, 7th, 8th and then THAT happens. Just unreal.....well, it WAS a good start to the road trip.
April 18, 201016 yr Anybody want to join the pool on what Reds starter gets the first win from a starter this year, and the date. I've got Bronson Arroyo on August 13th.
April 18, 201016 yr It's all Jim Schue's fault for starting the week 2 thread. At least the Reds went 3-3 the first week. :sssh:
April 18, 201016 yr Jacoby's splendid splinters had SIX more big knocks tonight. The pitchers gave nine more free passes; 54 on the season. Bad baseball.

April 18, 201016 yr Did anyone see the stat about pitches per inning. The Reds have three in the top 25, Cueto, Harang, Bailey.
April 18, 201016 yr Did anyone see the stat about pitches per inning. The Reds have three in the top 25, Cueto, Harang, Bailey. The Reds' pitchers are woefully inefficient with their pitches; Jacoby's splendid splinters are woefully undisciplined with their lumber. I'm concerned...
