How does the number of classes in one sport confuse the others? Aren't cross country and track the only other classified sports? And don't those two only have three classes in comparison to the suggested return to four in football?

 

Look at some of the questions posted in this thread. That is the answer to your question. It is odd to be one class in one sport and another in a different sport. You are not an orange when with the tangerines, and an apple when with the watermelons.

Bath County Beat Raceland last night 8-4 to win the 16th Region.

Carroll County is scheduled to host Whitefield Academy this Saturday at noon, winner goes to Applebee Park!

So how many regions are completed? I know Pikeville in the 15th and Bath County in the 16th.

Region 1 semis on Friday night ... St. Mary vs. Heath, Murray vs. Ballard Memorial.

 

Region 2 finals on Friday night ... University Heights vs. Caldwell County.

Region 10 semis and finals on Saturday (April 17th) at Nicholas County.

 

First semi has Brossart vs. Nicholas County at noon. Second semi is Calvary Christian vs. Paris at 2:00 pm.

 

Finals on Saturday at 4:00 pm.

Hazard beat Lee Co. 10-2 for the 14th Region crown. Hazard at Middlesboro for the sectional. Not sure when they play.

Brossart is the 10th Region "A" Champ.

 

They defeated Nicholas County 7-2 and Calvary Christian 7-4 to win their seventh consecutive 10th Region "A" Title.

 

As stated above, they will play Beechwood at a date/time yet to be determined for the trip to Applebee's and the "A" State Tournament on Derby Day weekend.

LCA and Danville game is set for Friday April 23 at 6:00 at Danville. To bad these two teams have to meet in a semi-state game instead of at Applebee's. Is there any other Class A teams ranked in the state besides these two?

I don't think that is a semi-state game. It is a sectional game. But I think you are right that they are just one game removed from playing at Applebee's. Here is a link to the bracket:
