I find it interesting that the lead is Tayshaun's at this point. I only voted one player, that being Delk. Statistically, Delk leads in most categories, with TP having an edge from the stripe, rebounding and blocks. Delk also has a ring, so that has to be a trump card. Also interesting that Tayshaun totaled 800 more minutes of action during his four years, that's 20 games.

Delk is the only one I voted for at this point...Tubby should I suppose as all other coaches that won a NC are up there. Rex is my all time favorite player, but 2 years doesn't justify it IMO>

I voted for Champman, Delk and a possible Mercer.

Champmen is a legend at UK. What is Champmen's stats at UK during his time and what did his team finish?(This was before my time)

Delk is a definate while at UK and then went on to have a successful NBA career.

Mercer stayed two years, was in two championships, winning one and carring us to the 2nd so I am partial to him.

 

Mercer and Champmen are next in line behind Delk, I don't see how TP is ever hanging high in Rupp.

I voted Delk, Chapman and Tubby. I'm going on stories and rep from Chapman as I never saw him play at UK. Tubby won a title, simple enough for me.

A lot of talk on here about Chapman. He was great but he had a lot of inconsistency at times. He did average 17.6 points per game in 2 seasons at UK and was their biggest threat in both '87 and '88. He made All SEC both years.

 

18-11 in '87 (lost in first round to Ohio State)

25-5 officially in '88 (lost in Sweet 16 to Villanova)
