The new look of the Kentucky Wildcats

Kanter, Jones, and Leslie are all in the 6'7-6'9 range, I believe.

Poole is either 6'5 or 6'6.

All are forwards that would join Liggins, Miller, and POSSIBLY Dodson if him going to the draft is just a Cousins' April Fools Joke.

Then you have Jon Hood who is also a 3/4 player. Obviously he isn't going to see much time, but just pointing out that there'd be a log jam at that position.

Then you have 6'3 Lamb who is a 1/2 type player. If Bledsoe stay, he would then be competing with Bledsoe, Selby, AND Knight for playing time.

If they go anywhere else, both could be stars their freshmen year.

But like I said before...I could be completely off. I guess we'll find out in the next 6 weeks.

Terrence Jones is a wing/3 and will have no problem playing over Poole, Darius Miller would be who he has to beat out.

Hood had never played the 4.

Kanter is a 5 that plays with his back to the basket.

Leslie is a 6'9 freak athlete that would fit perfect in the 4 spot in the DDM offense, he really fits the 4 spot in the DDM better than PPat.

Bledsoe isn't coming back he is projected to be a lottery pick he would be crazy to turn down that money, especially with all the PG talent in the 2010 class. Selby and Knight can play the point. I honestly like Selby better at the point.

Regardless of what happens, UK will be no where near what they were this year.

You don't lost Wall, Cousins, PPat, Bledsoe, and Orton and still have a top 5 team with essentially all freshmen running the show. Yes, I know how talented they are but a good experienced team will beat out that talent more often than not.

Anybody see the editorial cartoon related to this subject in the C-J yesterday?

Apparently they cropped off the other half of the picture with Pitino on his hands and knees praying for the elite 8 and one and done talent

That might be funny if L'ville weren't coming off back-to-back appearances in the Elite Eight.

He was making a joke.

What's the APR problems if this happens? I don't know if APR is even applies to basketball like football, but just curious.

It all depends on the guys in question finishing their academic requirements in the 2nd semester. If a player leaving early bolts on his academic commitment before the end of the school year, it's a huge hit. If they "go to class" and finish up before moving on the APR stays out of the danger zone. It's another one of those "very interesting" sub plots to follow as this group likely moves quickly in and out of Lexington...

^I read somewhere that Wall, Cousins, and Bledsoe all said regardless of their decision they're finishing the semester.

The next 6 weeks or so are going to be VERY interesting in Lexington. While I think the "only 4 players returning" story has some legs, I'd also say it's just as much of a smoke screen as the all star game circuit kicked off in Columbus this week. The kids with UK on their list are together at these events for days at a time, and spend a ton of time together talking about their future. Should be a wild ride right up to and maybe beyond the last day of signing day for UK fans...

At least it's a ride...we didn't even get the car started in some of the past years.

We're in the hunt for a change.

After Reading Selby's comments, he sounds like a big time prima donna. Coach Cal Brings in 5 McDonald boys he will be grey headed after next year. All of them wanting to turn pro. I guess Cal is used to it but it sets up to be a long season. Not saying wont win a lot of games but lots of headaches.

"I just worry about me," he said.

I could see some serious chemistry problems next year with a guy like Selby leading the show.

Him worrying about himself and Knight taking a lot of bad shots sounds like it could lead to some more "turmoil"....

Don't you think you're taking that out of context? He was asked if the players leaving early for the NBA would change his decision and he said that he could only worry about himself. I took that like he was saying that he needed to make the best pick of a school for him, not that he was selfish.:idunno:

I read today that each player can "earn" 2 points - 1 for being in good academic standing and 1 for returning the following year. By KSR's estimation UK will have 19 out of 24 possible points which will leave them below the NCAA requirement. However, they may not be penalized a scholly IF every player leaves the year in good academic standing. If Orton finishes his UK classes remotely as he intends UK should be OK.

:sssh:That would be REALLY funny if you hadn't looked at Louisville's 2011 class coming in, but I'm sure you have seen it, thanks!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, HollaBack has waited 4 years for that post...
