Summer Ball

Thanks for the info, should be a nice team. Beuter is one of the most improved guards in NKY at the frosh level this past year. He shoots lights out and can create space for his shot.

Im surprised to not see Justin Saunders (Brossart) on this squad though.

He will be added later.

Who is headed down to the KnoxVegas tournament? Should be a dandy. May possibly make a trip to see some great talent early in the summer.

Question:

Why did all of the coaches and players from the DSAS program go to the SSS program?

You'd think that having arguably the best team in the state at the 17U level and possibly one of the better teams in the country, they'd want to keep everyone intact for their final year.

Can anyone shed some light on that situation?

Excellent question that no one seems to have the answer too.

Having known most of what went on, it's still a bit surprising it happened, even to those involved.

If my info is correct players and coaches are pretty much intact. Team just switched organizations.

Yes, that is true, but his question is "why would/how could" DSAS let this team which is their strongest ever, and one of the better teams in the country, go to another organization.

Who will be coaching Team Kentucky this year?

I wasn't aware there would be any changes, maybe a new assistant here or there.

Exactly.

Exact same team, with an addition or two. Does not play into the other SSS teams as there are many SSS teams.

Gilbert and Pawsat are not playing this year to concentrate on football. Pike I believe is staying down and playing with the 16's. Schutte, Giesler, Smith, Brown are all back joined by Thelen (CovCath) , 2 players from Senica HS, and a player from Frankfort,KY. Not sure, but there's a couple more I'm forgetting.

I don't think the King twins are playing this year either.

It takes a lot of money for a kid to play AAU basketball. Most teams charge fees and then the expense of parent traveling to these places and staying several days. It's expensive.

Sounds like a strong lineup. I am guessing the Seneca kids are Stone and Fluellen. They were good when they played for the Louisville Lakers. This team will miss Gilbert, but they look to have reloaded nicely. Good luck.
