Is Highlands looking for a new QB coach?

Featured Replies

I heard that Randy Vallerjdo resigned and is taking a HC position in Ohio. Could this open up the door for former UK/NY Giant QB to possibly help out his Alma Mater?

Talks were already underway on Friday night. The big guy is looking to get into coaching and what better place than your Alma Mater. I really hope this is a done deal before it ever opens up. There are some really good QB's coming through the program the next 5-6 years and Jared would be someone I would want heading them to the next level.

I understand he also called the offensive plays, I wonder if this will be turned over to the new guy or if Dale will pull the trigger on those?

Dale calls the plays and someone else signals the play to the Qb.

I know he could play but can he coach? I wouldn't want to put Pat T into just anyone's hands with as much potential as he has. Would they want someone with coaching experience?

Are you really being serious! So would Jared be an upgrade or downgrade from what Pat T had.

You have way too much "Sugar" in your Blue Cool-Aid

Well, if he would visit practice he would know the answer. I think Jared would fit in very nicely. Like someone said before, Coach V only sent the plays in. He mastered the chicken dance. Seemed like a great guy.

I wish Mr. Vilardo well on his venture. The bar has been set for him. Wonder what the expectations are for where he is heading. Anyone know where?

How long has he been the QB coach? What job did he take in Ohio?

Not sure who will be the next QB coach at Highlands, but Patrick Towles and the big lefty have a very good relationship.

Yes they do!:thumb:

Just because someone played at a high level doesn't mean they will be a good coach.

Yeah but it doesn't hurt that he might know a little something about the game at the "highest level". A little more than your average Joe...:thumb:
