Is Highlands looking for a new QB coach?

Featured Replies

Yes I'm serious. Can he coach? Simple question. We all know great players who had no ability to teach. I have no idea if he would be an upgrade or a downgrade. Do you just give him the job because he could throw the ball? Has he coached before? I would love to see him come on if he has the ability, but not just because of his playing background. I would hope he does have the ability because it would be neat for the players to have him around. I just don't know his abilities.

At the High School level? I would think your list would be very small. Now if he was coaching in the FTJFL, i would think Jared would be underqualified!!!:D

Last year, he was at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, but I don't know if that is still the case.

He is...I thought he was still meeting weekly with Park Hills Mafia!!!!

I've been told I'm over qualified.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

And just a few shy of collecting your social security check, you don't want to mess this up with all the pay you can make as a HHS assistant.:isurrender::popcorn:LOL

You would know, your right in line behind me.

Agreed:D Only the best in the FTJFFL. I think Jared does have the tools and the ability to take our QB to the next level. I certainly would back this decision 100%

Obviously he has talent; but he is very good with kids and that takes a special relationship. Kids like working with him and I think he would be an asset and fit in well. IMO no big head on hefty lefty, I think he would work well with the group and add to the program. I would have no problem with the choice.

I wouldn't think it would be that small, particularly at the top programs. Like I said, if he has the ability it's a great addition.

Dale will meet this week with at least one candidate.

The bolded is the key point of your statement.

I wonder if the "other" stud former HHS QB would be interested...Gino Guidugli?

I heard Henry doesn't want to coach...but she DOES want to call the plays! LOL!

From what I heard Coach V is going to be at Miami Valley Christian Academy. As for the Jared thing I guess we will have to wait and see what Dale is thinking. Would he even want him to coach. I do know that him and Patrick are very close they talk all the time. I think he will make an ok coach but again we wil have to wait and see.

Interesting take.

As an outsider looking in Dale Mueller defines Highlands football. My gut says Coach Mueller is very particular about bringing anyone into the program that could potentially have more "street cred" than he does because of the possibility it could upset the successful chemistry of the program. This isn't a knock on anyone, it is just an observation that Coach Mueller has it down to a science.

Little too late for Gino. He accepted a coaching position with Central Michigan a few weeks ago. I guess he is qualified to coach. You know he could throw a ball through the wall as well. But that doesnt make a high school great and a college great a good QB coach now does it. :D Gimme me a break. :thumb:20n10

Central Michigan? UC? How do they keep swapping talent?? LOL! Good Luck to Gino!

You might want to reread some of the posts above. It is quite obvious that both Will Bardo and Patrick Towles were getting private coaching from Lorenzen during the offseason. I also know for a fact that their is another upcoming QB phenom that he works with as well. Heck, that kids dad is a former NFL player to boot. So, you obviously have no clue what you are talking about or you have a bit of a personal issue with the hefty lefty and or you have your own personal favorite to fill the QB coaching position and thats not Jared. With all this said though, it still wouldnt surprise me if he was passed over for someone else for chemistry reasons. But pls my friend quit playing the "just because he played can he coach" card. Those are ridiculous statements. Ask Bardo and Towles. :thumb:20n10

I can see Gino doing very well in coaching.

Dale calls the plays and someone else signals the play to the Qb.

And I am thinking they might want somebody a little more limber than JLO to signal those plays in. I know Rob used to get that "Joe Morgan" twich leg thingy going when he wanted jet sweep. Not sure if the big man can do that leg whip required to signal in the call. :thumb:20n10

Sweeperboy ? Why don't you apply ?
