Yes. The social engineering we have encountered since The New Deal Era has put the nation on the verge of bankruptcy. Many efforts to improve education have actually left us in a bigger mess. If your doing something just to say you did, means that you have not thought the entire process to its conclusion.

Back to the topic of saving me money. If I give up my insurance, how much of a fine am I going to have to pay? What I was plannin' on doing was cancelling my coverage and pay the fine. If I get sick, then I can buy insurance since I can't be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition. Would that work?

I was not arguing the strength and weaknesses of communism, and certainly would not associate Leninism with it, the ideal of a centralized government was anti-Marxism.

As I understand it, yes. However, if you are injured I believe you would be responsible for those bills while you applied for insurance. Insurance wouldn't be applied retroactively so you could run up a monster bill before you got into a plan.

 

Of course, after the fact insurance will probably be the next step.

As Lindsay Graham pointed out, elections have consequences and our country is not run on a plebiscite.

 

Polls now show 49% in favor of what happened with 40% opposed.

 

I am thinking the polls were driven by misinformation and fear of "death panels".

 

Polls showed Americans were opposed to the Iraq war, and to the surge, should we not have done them either?

 

I just saw a CBS poll that said 63% wanted the republicans to continue their challenge in court as to 32% opposed. 41% of democrats polled wanted the republicans to challenge the bill in court also. Very interesting.
