I'd vote Jarrod Polson myself, but I am admittedly biased towards my region. He held his own against Justice and Justice's success compared with Polson's is a wash, IMO. Polson did a whole lot more with less. Give Polson Hatfield and Newsome and Polson wins state and everyone is talking about Polson and not Justice.

I'd take Polson everyday over Justice. Until the 4th quarter, Justice could do nothing against Ballard. Hatfield and Newsome carried Shelby Valley the first 3 quarters.

 

 

Cause they were double teaming him. Whenever Justice would bring it up court, he was getting double and still was able to get the ball cross the time line and into anoter SV players hand.

I know it hurts a few people on here but my guess after hearing some talk at the State Tourney Justice will win this award. Wont we find out Thursday?

The better team that night won the state title. The trend of Mr. Basketball not going to the top player will continue.

 

Sure sure. Shelby Valley was the better team PERIOD, not just "that night". The hatred for SV and their state championship is laughable.

I'm talking about how they affected his shot. He didn't get the looks he's accustomed to and his teammates picked him up for 3 quarters. By the 4th quarter he was able to take advantage when he got a good look. I don't think he had many if any turnovers, but he didn't have the great shooting game on Saturday night that he had the previous 3 games and I think that is because he had a hard time adjusting to the type of defense contesting his shot.

Yes it is. There was no team that played better than Shelby Valley for all 4 games and they have the trophy to prove it. I am strictly talking about his scoring. I think he had 7 points on 2-7 shooting at the half. 2 assists and 2 steals, I think. He didn't force it, but he airballed a couple of floaters and missed a couple of jumpers. Shots he made against everyone else, he didn't make against Ballard. Hatfield and Newsome picked up the scoring load for Shelby Valley the first 3 quarters.

 

I really don't remember him being double teamed extensively outside of a full court press in which whoever had the ball was double teamed. I remember Parker(#10) guarding him most of the night which is why he had 4 fouls at the end of the night. I remember Ballard trying to double team the ball and SV doing a great job of finding the open man and knocking down their shots and free throws as well. Truly a beautiful display of basketball.

I don't see how Justice cannot get, especially considering the postseason goes into consideration. Also, I think Polson is a close 2nd. Man he can play!

Relax, he is not trying to discredit the kid, just that the teammates took care of alot of pressure, scoring that he was unable to do by himself due to Ballard trying to take him out of the game. They made the other kids beat them, and they did. Terrific job.

Justice hands down. He does things that just don't show up in a box score, like the tip pass up ahead for the break away layup in the 1st half of the Mason Co. game.

 

Didn't force anything all week and made the plays that were in front of him. regardless of who Shelby played, they beat who was in front of them and that should be all that matters.

Justice will win this award and he deserves it.

My vote goes to Justice.

Near the end of the season, I would've went with the kid from Trinity. Now, Justice should be served, IMO.
