Wireman Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Agree or disagree? Kyle Veazey of the Clarion-Ledger (Mississippi) posted the following comment from Mississippi State head coach Rick Stansbury on Twitter: "It's a very obvious lane violation." Stansbury is talking about the free throw that was intentionally missed by Eric Bledsoe, rebounded by John Wall and put in at the buzzer by DeMarcus Cousins to send the game to overtime. Stansbury feels that Wall entered the restricted area inside the 3-point line too early. Kentucky, of course, won the game in overtime and celebrated the school's 26th SEC Tournament championship.
The Scribe Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Kentucky fans will say no violation or that it didnt affect the outcome. Non Kentucky fans will say it was a violation. Next.

gametime Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 What are his thoughts on Varnado doing the Bunny Hop after a rebound on the baseline???

When exactly is he allowed to enter this area? He does not step in before the players on the lane do.

Wireman Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 When exactly is he allowed to enter this area? He does not step in before the players on the lane do. See, that's my question as well. I honestly don't know the rule?
Wireman Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 What are his thoughts on Varnado doing the Bunny Hop after a rebound on the baseline??? Varnado gets away with more fouls than anyone I've ever watched in major college basketball. I'd say about 250 of his career blocks should've been fouls.:ohbrother:
Hatz Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 What are his thoughts on Varnado doing the Bunny Hop after a rebound on the baseline??? I remember that because I said something but my wife said I was "fishing" again for something to yell out. (She's usually right) I can't wait to tell her that Gametime saw it as well.
gametime Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 See, that's my question as well. I honestly don't know the rule? He can cross as soon as the ball leaves the shooters hand...

The Scribe Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 If you are talking about players in the lane before the ball hits the rim, then five players (Cousins and four Bulldogs) are in the lane before the ball hits the rim. As far as crossing the free throw line before the ball hits the rim? Wall, Bledsoe, and a State player all crossed the line before the ball hit the rim. Patrick Patterson is the only player in the video not to be in the lane because he couldnt get around Vanardo.
Original Rookie Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I do know that a MSU player also was in there before the ball hit the rim.
super Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Actually this KY fan would say, "Anyone remember Allen Houston?" Boy,I sure do.
John Anthony Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 It's very obvious to me that Augustus got worked by Patterson...
